The Door Opening to the Benefits of Chö. When you go to the charnel ground, go to any dangerous place, and meditate on immeasurable love and compassion. After that, relax your awareness and let it go, in a state of instantaneous complete awareness. Meditate on yourself as Vajravarahi: Vajravarahi is blue in color, with one face and two arms, a sixteen-year-old maiden, with three eyes, a wrathful expression, and a laughing demeanor. The right hand holds a damaru drum, the left hand rings a bell. Adorned with six bone ornaments on the body, the heel of the right foot presses against the secret lotus, and the left foot dances on top of a corpse. Meditate on being in a dancing posture. Practice the difficult austerity of discarding food: Because you cherish this body and are unwilling to give it up, you have wandered in samsara in the past. Now you are still creating the causes and conditions for samsara. Thinking that you must give it away, in front of yourself as Vajravarahi, meditate on the body being as large as Mount Meru. Now there is not even a hair's breadth of attachment to the body. I give it to you, the gods and demons of existence. Vajravarahi cuts the body well with the curved knife in her hand, visualizing a pile of flesh as large as Mount Meru, and blood as vast as the ocean. Visualize the guests: the root and lineage gurus, the yidam deities, and the dakinis and protectors filling the sky and space. The gods and demons of existence, and the hungry ghosts and spirits, visualize them filling the earth and space. Yourself as Vajrayogini, holding it with the skull cup in your hand, offering upwards to please the gurus and yidams, offering in the middle to fulfill the vows of the assembly of dakinis. Offering downwards to satisfy and delight all the gods and demons of existence, and also thinking that the obstacles, spirits, and hungry ghosts are satisfied and happy. In that state, if thoughts and dualistic clinging arise, (think) this body of mine has wandered in samsara because of dualistic clinging. If I continue to cling, I will wander in samsara. So now there is no attachment to the body. I give it to you, the gods and demons. Those who want flesh, take the flesh. Those who want blood, drink the blood. Those who want entrails, eat the entrails. Leave nothing behind. Eat the long ones raw, and cook the short ones.

"Eat dirt!" "Carry what you can bear! If I cannot give, then I am weak; if you cannot take, then you are weak. This body of flesh and blood is an impure body, a nest of delusions, a nature of decay, a sac of pus and blood. Because of clinging to 'I', it was meaningless before, but now it has become meaningful, not to be spared, not to be cherished, not to be held as self. The body was abandoned to suffering before, now it is unnecessary. Whoever wants it, take it and lie down. If fearful delusions arise, the body has already been given away. The mind is empty in nature and cannot die. The demon is in my own mind, and the fearer is also in the mind." "When I look at what the nature of your mind is like, there is no object, color, or image. There is no fear in the empty nature. The fearer exists in delusion. Delusion, where do you come from? What is your essence? Who made you? When I look at what the shape and color are like, nothing can be analyzed. The delusion vanishes without a trace, and the basis of the fearer is lost. Even if hail falls from above, even if floods erupt from below, even if any magical powers of gods and demons appear, release into that state without clinging. Whatever obstructing demons or unobstructed demons arise, leave them in the state of non-clinging!" "The demons of joy and the demons of pride, leave them in their own nature of non-clinging! By doing so, the defilement of the mind's grasping and being grasped is exhausted, and the fruit of Buddhahood is attained. Auspicious!" "From the Legacy of the Ancestors, the Collected Works of Longchen Rabjam, (26) Supplement to Chöd, Opening the Door of Merit."- PAGE 56 -- PAGE 55 -- PAGE 54 -
