Until perfect enlightenment, May I abandon the lower realms and always attain the happy realms. May I be rich in the qualities of the higher realms, possessing the seven noble riches. May I never turn back from the true path. In all my lives, may I meet lamas who possess all the qualities, And may I accomplish all that pleases their hearts. May I attain the meaning of the profound, secret, luminous Vajra Essence, And may I completely and fully attain it without omission. May I not engage in non-virtuous actions for even a moment, And may I spend day and night practicing the Dharma. May I complete all the stages and paths, heat and levels, in one lifetime, And may I effortlessly and spontaneously accomplish the benefit of myself and others. May I realize the ultimate nature of Trekchö's view. May I exhaust the practice of Tögal's direct perception. May I greatly benefit beings through pure conduct, And may I attain the supreme state of no-more-learning in this very life. May all phenomena be the primordial, original state, free from elaboration. Transcending limitations and actions, the supreme pinnacle of the nine vehicles. Inconceivable, luminous Great Perfection. May I manifest and dissolve into the tangible light body. Untainted by the artifice of conceptual thought, May I directly realize the nature of reality, free from all mental fabrication. May the path of appearance, indication, and meaning be indivisible, And may I realize the uncontrived realization of Ati. May I always trust in the law of cause and effect, And may I gain confidence in the view that transcends cause and effect. May I never break the samaya of secret mantra, And may I always abide in the great, primordial, protective, and non-elaborate bliss. May I not be attached to the deceptions of this life, nor cling to worldly things, But enter the supreme, ultimate, secret, and unsurpassed path. May I become a great sovereign who accomplishes the benefit of myself and others, And may I attain the supreme state of the three kayas of the Buddhas. In all my lifetimes, may I always encounter the meaning of the profound, secret Great Perfection. May I be free to accomplish the great task of spreading the Buddha's teachings and benefiting beings. May I possess the seven noble riches, and may my lineage of disciples flourish. May all beings attain enlightenment in a single mandala. This is a prayer from the Heart Essence of the Dakinis of the Great Perfection. It was written on an auspicious day in the autumn of the Fire Sheep year (1967) at Dza Puk Dharma Ling Retreat in Kyirong, Mangyul, by Lhawan Tsewang Norbu from the south of Dokham Kathok, at the urging of Tsering Donden, also known as Kunzang Ngedon Rangdrol Wangpo, a fortunate individual like Chakdruk Depa, who is extremely diligent in virtuous deeds and possesses unwavering faith and devotion in the ultimate secret Great Perfection.
