This is a letter of request offered with great devotion to the lotus feet of the Sixth Gyalwang, the crown jewel of all holders of the practice lineage. Nowadays, you remain immovably in the essence of the profound, clear, great bliss, the three vajras, and your kindness is exceedingly great in creating the root of support for benefiting beings. Here, too, we have completed the good deeds to the best of our ability while barely making a living. Last year, the Water Monkey year, there was almost an outbreak of war with Kashmir. This year, so far, it has been peaceful. The affairs of the Kagyu Yang Gar are just being arranged. Gyalsay Rinpoche intends to publish his collected works, and as an offering, we plan to donate a pure and accurate Derge Kanjur. Therefore, if any of the old printed texts need to be revised again, please let us know immediately. Now that I am old and uncertain when I will die, I plan to entrust the printing to Derge and report it to Zab-yongs Rinpoche. I hope to meet you in person soon and fulfill your wishes as you desire. I hope that you will quickly grant me a qualified retreat of the Guru Gangwa Dorje's instruction, the Ushnishavijaya. Please, please, please let Zab-yongs Rinpoche know about this. May the teacher and disciples never be separated and always be together, May your life be unchanging, strong, and stable. May the offering of good tea be continuous and joyful, May happiness increase and dharma flourish, may there be auspiciousness!
