Ema, please listen, practitioners and yogis! Do not be deluded by writing too many words, Reside in solitude like a precious jewel, What instructions do I have for those as distracted as I am? However, in order not to disappoint the request, I will make a slight indication, Here I will speak some seeds of suchness. In the six realms of samsara, obtaining leisure and fortune is difficult, Like the udumbara flower, it happens only this once. When death will occur is uncertain, life is like lightning, Every hour is that much closer to death. The fruits of black and white karma are certainly unerring, Like a flowing river, we follow after karma. The supreme liberation is the complete and perfect Buddha, Therefore, one should diligently strive on this path. The four thoughts that turn the mind are the foundation of Dharma, They are the indispensable ladder to liberation. The essence of all refuges is the Lama, Whatever happiness or suffering arises, entrust your hopes to him. The six kinds of sentient beings are of the nature of parents, Dedicate all virtuous deeds solely for the benefit of beings. The very essence of all Sutras, Tantras, and Dharmas, Is solely the means to realize the nature of one's own awareness. The distinctions of paths are Mahamudra, Tranquility and Cutting, The Six Dharmas of Naropa, the Six Dharmas of Niguma, and Lamdre. Six Yogas, Dzogchen, and so forth are also taught, The ultimate key point of all is, Solely the devotion and reverence for the blessings of the Lama. With this, all Dharmas have a life essence, Without this, the life force of Dharma is cut off. Therefore, whatever happiness or suffering, difficulty or ease may arise, Have unwavering devotion and reverence for the Lama. Drive the stake of faith and commitment into your heart, Introduce your own mind as the Dharmakaya. That Lama is superior to all Buddhas. However he may appear in the perception of others, View him as the actual Vajrasattva. Through this blessing, the fruit of experience and realization will ripen, That great sound called experience and realization, Is merely the difference between recognizing and not recognizing one's own nature. This very present, uncontrived awareness is it, Even the word "this" is merely an empty name. Transcending the elaborations of existence and non-existence, right and wrong, Uncontrived, beyond the realm of mind, is the nature of reality. That is called the suchness of reality. Even so, if we take the essential points for the time being, Cut off the continuation of past thoughts, and future, Conceptual thoughts, and so forth, to the present awareness, Unfabricated, primordial, inexpressible

OM. This self-appearing phenomenon is the Dharmakaya. The wise consider it to be the primordial innate wisdom. However, at all times and places, there are acceptance and rejection, modifications, and doubts about right and wrong, superiority and inferiority, and dependencies. Abandoning these, without distraction or meditation, abiding in one's own nature, one can attain the realization of the stainless reality. Manifesting its qualities through the seven key points, it is known as the supreme Great Perfection Tögal. The three spaces and four lights, the self-luminous awareness like a continuous thread, manifest the four visions in experience, and it becomes the supreme path that transports one to the expanse of Samantabhadra's intention. It is dissimilar to the winds and signs of the five stages and six applications, and it is exceedingly superior. Therefore, if one diligently practices the three immovables and the three abidings, one will definitely attain Buddhahood in this life. This is the essential heart of practice. To aid in this, practicing the instructions of the channels, bindus, and winds within the view of non-attachment will quickly generate warmth. Thus, this was spoken by the yogi of definite meaning Great Perfection, Kunzang Yongdrol, who dwells in the snowy mountains of Buli, renouncing this life, in response to the requests of Tashi Bumpa, Shangfang Lhawo, and others, and in response to the people of Dokham (Dokham region), the son of Padmasambhava, the Vidyadhara, Gyal Khampa named Tsewang Norbu. It was recorded by the scribe, the novice Palbar, on the first day of the first month of the Iron Pig year (1851), adding to what had already fallen like rain. May there be auspiciousness! May the excellent intention, as white as the moon, and the white light of the verses, like nectar, fill the lotus hearts of fortunate students, and may the fragrance of virtue greatly increase! Instruction Song: Udumbara.
