༈ Instructions on View, Meditation, Conduct, and Result: A Song ༈ Instructions on View, Meditation, Conduct, and Result: A Song Om Svasti! In this world, the unequaled, perfect Buddha, the guide; the supreme lineage, Amitabha, the protector, Vajra Dharma; to the root guru, the supreme reminder of all things, until the essence of enlightenment, I prostrate. For the sake of urging by fortunate students, I will write down here a few words about the subject matter of the instructions. If you wish to enter the path of higher realms, you must know and fear the suffering of the lower realms. If you wish to engage in the path of definite goodness and liberation, you must be weary of the deluded appearances of the three realms' samsara. If you wish to practice the sacred Dharma of the gods from the heart, you must always remember impermanence and renunciation. If you wish to enter the supreme path of enlightenment, you must have only the intention to benefit others. If you wish to receive the blessings of the secret mantra Dharma, you must have devotion and respect for the guru, as if he were the Buddha. The gateway to the Dharma of the Vajrayana is unbroken samaya, continuous practice, and empowerment. As an antidote to prevent impure appearances, you must stabilize the clear appearance of the deity in the generation stage. To destroy the attachment to ordinary sounds, you must always recite the mantra of the yidam deity. To cut the stream of mental confusion, you must always have the unwavering boat of mindfulness. Thus, this instruction that gathers the nine necessities, you, the fortunate student, should always keep in the center of your heart and practice it. This is the advice of Vajra Acharya Tsulzin. Kyeho! Still, one more essential word: the key point of the practice of the most secret Great Perfection. The king of views is your own mind, the expanse of Dharmata, the nature that is free from arising, ceasing, and abiding, all-pervasive, and free from elaboration. Not existent, not non-existent, not permanent, not nihilistic, free from extremes. This, which is free from acceptance and identification, is the view. In order to establish the view as it is, be alert and mindful. Do not deliberately tighten or loosen, but rest naturally, like stars in the ocean. There is no grasping, but there is self-knowing. Unwavering, non-conceptual, is the king of meditation. Thoughts, good and bad, actions, right and wrong, conduct, going, staying, speaking, much or little, solitary places, and practicing in assemblies, whatever you do, keep your mind unwavering in mindfulness. Like the waves of the ocean, all are one water. All are from the self-display of the self-awareness Dharmakaya. Abandoning

The ultimate and excellent without difference, this is the practice of Dzogchen. The order of view, meditation, and conduct is like this, and the basis of the result, the three kayas, is also: This empty nature of one's own mind is the Dharmakaya. The clear appearance of one's own appearances is the Sambhogakaya. The indivisibility of clarity and emptiness is the wisdom of the Nirmanakaya. This itself is the result when it is realized. Therefore, the three kayas do not arise from anything else. Therefore, clarity, emptiness, and wisdom are the reality of the three kayas. Knowing this, in the absence of reliance on upward progress, one should also make a decision in this self-awareness. Although there are many words and phrases, the essence of view, meditation, conduct, and result are all included here. This is the ultimate secret essence of the heart, do not be distracted from the meaning of the manifestation of reality, and when striving for the life-force vajra recitation, with the devotion of seeing the lama as the Buddha, if you can strive to make a sincere prayer without hypocrisy, then there is no doubt that you will achieve Buddhahood in one lifetime. Thus, abandoning many words and phrases, this is the instruction to put the practice on the essential point. This was written by Tshewang Norbu, a Vidyadhara, at the request of Tshewang Phuntsok, a patron from Tado in southern Tibet, who is blessed with faith, reverence, and wisdom, on the second joyful day of the white side of the autumn month of the Water Pig year (1983), at the foot of Kongpo (Nyingchi area) Lhari Sangngé Mountain, near the Guru's meditation cave, on the roof of the Bird's Nest Khangsar Dzong, may it be auspicious! Sarva Mangalam (Tibetan, Devanagari: सर्व मङ्गलम्, Romanized Sanskrit: sarva maṅgalam, Literal Chinese meaning: All auspiciousness)! ༈ A song of instructions on view, meditation, conduct, and result.
