May it ever flourish, develop, and long endure! Mangalam! Auspicious! May auspicious splendor shine forth, adorning the world! Proofread! Ah! From the sole eye of the world, the essence of merit, This clear distinction of tenets, like the radiant light of the sun, Even though it radiates a thousand lights in the dark continent, We, beings with bad karma like myself, Because we did not realize the instructions remained on paper, However, as the Buddha said, for sentient beings urged by those to be tamed, There is no missing the time of the Buddha. Gratitude to the kind teacher, the venerable master Nakdo, And the effort arising from the borrowed mother text, How can that kindness be contained in the realm of the mind? I respectfully prostrate from the depths of my heart to that wise one. Skilled at extracting the essence from illusory wealth, The generous benefactor with good intentions, Taking the giving of the teachings as the crown jewel on their head, Kunsang Tobgyal, the humble one from Mon, By the merit of building and printing this, May the glorious Drukpa government be stable, And may the subjects possess happiness and wealth. May I and all other beings, Obtain the ground of the Early Translation Vajrayana. This was also written as a prayer by the scribe himself, at the request of the three Dharma friends, Orgyen Tenzin, Sonam Tobgyal, and Kunchap, when it was printed in the sacred land of Delhi, India, in the year 1979, during the sixteenth Rabjung. This mother copy was passed to me by Sherab Drakpa of America through the lineage of Gepal Dorje. It is an old book with a colophon stating that Kathokpa Sonam Gyaltsen made corrections at Taktshang in Paro, Bhutan, and a note by the master Nakdo Palden Drukgyung Thimphu 1979.
