These are signs (of desire or non-desire). Guru Rinpoche said so. Or, the so-called "former two," from the head and body being heavy due to obstruction, to both body and mind being rough, one of the seventeen situations, and the three illusions seen from below, this counts as one. Like this, from these two, because there is no oral instruction, one clings to the signs of wanting or not wanting. The so-called "'Ru' without oral instruction," clings to the signs of wanting and not wanting, this is merely a sign of unbalanced wind arising. The sign of unbalanced wind arising, the sign of wanting, and the sign of not wanting, there are three in total. This depends on the Guru's instructions. The so-called "the above twenty-four signs are signs of unbalanced wind arising." In the middle, the pulse is also weak, and when meditation is also bad, rapid breathing occurs, hatred, trembling, uncomfortable breathing and fear, the so-called "the pulse is also weak, and when meditation is also bad," if these four situations occur, it is a sign of not wanting. If there is no discomfort in the pulse, and it occurs when meditation is smooth, then that is a very intense rough side, it is a sign of wanting. The so-called "these four situations, when the pulse is comfortable, and meditation is good, then that is a very intense rough side, it is a sign of wanting." With four causes, a Bodhisattva possesses wisdom and power. The so-called "abiding in emptiness is one, not completely abandoning sentient beings is two, acting as spoken," that is, acting according to Dharma is three, possessing the blessings of the Sugata is four, if one possesses these, then the maras will be pacified, Rinpoche said so. Or, not being jealous of others' gains is one, completely abandoning slanderous words is two, causing many people to enter the root of virtue is three, cultivating unobstructed loving-kindness is four, if one possesses these. These ten truths should be completely understood. The so-called "teaching is one, fatigue is two, possessing intelligence is three, possessing patience is four, uprightness is five, without deceit is six, knowing the application of mantra is seven, knowing the application of tantra is eight, possessing compassion is nine, being skilled in the teachings is ten." Or, being skilled in the view of Suchness is one, action is activity, arrangement is mandala, sequence is ascent, empowerment, not transgressing is samaya, play.
