The Lamp of Correct View. Nyen Pal Yang. The Lamp of Correct View. Nyen Pal Yang. The Lamp of Correct View. With the light of a thousand suns from the mandala of the glorious heart, A mere ray intensely blazing has dawned in the darkness of my mind. A mere glimpse of the meaning of the profound unborn nature of my own mind, Which transcends the characteristics of space, beyond sounds and words, appears. Although it is not appropriate to compose the domain of activity Of those like me, who are deluded, with the many aspects spoken by the wise, Which I myself have realized, This mere expression of intelligence is for those who are devoted to the definitive meaning, For the sake of the Dharma, examine and familiarize yourselves with a mind that follows. For many eons, to the victorious ones, By generating roots of virtue and training one's own mind, The great authoritative statements that ascertain the noble yoga, Possessing supreme wisdom, clarify the mind of devotion to intelligence. The great mode of intelligence of the ultimate nature of non-conceptualization, Focusing on it with the mind is: Deciding with reasoning based on scripture and pith instructions, Have genuine faith in the true nature of the Dharma. Just as in the sky, nominally, It is expressed with names and words, But it is without characteristics and free from elaboration, By its very nature, it transcends the realm of the mind. Just as the appearance of a mirage, In its appearance, it is like the nature of space, Likewise, the various appearances of all phenomena also, In their appearance, they are like the formless sky. The vast, profound, and supreme expansive path, The ultimate aim is without object, transcending all elaborations. Equal in the realm of self and phenomena, With the meaning of the Middle Way, try to understand with your mind. Having understood the true ultimate meaning all at once, Having transcended the realm of the mind, such as existence and non-existence, Having completely abandoned the extremes of hope and doubt, Strive to engage in effortless effort. Since all phenomena are primordially of one taste, There is no object of meditation or meditator. If you know that mind itself is primordially the nature of reality, You do not need to meditate on the realm of reality elsewhere. The happiness and suffering of dreams, When awakened, their nature is equal, Both conceptualization and non-conceptualization also, If recognized with knowledge, their nature is completely equal. Thus, if you know that the three times are completely pure, And have not deviated from their own nature, Then, not following the footsteps of those who fabricate, You do not need to completely fabricate in your own nature. Just as the sky has no characteristics.

Therefore, just as the sky itself is not meditated upon, since the essence is unborn, how can the mind meditate on that which is unborn? If one understands the meaning that incompatibility and antidote are indistinguishable, then abandoning all effort and resting in the great equanimity of non-fabrication, even in mere words, it is called meditation. Since both faults and virtues are unborn, whatever signs of conceptual thought arise, do not block them, let them arise naturally; do not follow them, let them subside naturally; do not fabricate, do not act, and naturally be liberated. The Lamp of Correct View is complete. Written by Gnyan Acarya Pal Yang.
