Pacifying all inauspiciousness, gathering all auspiciousness, eliminating faults, gathering all good qualities, I request you to teach a sutra that brings glory and good fortune. The Blessed One smiled and said: Manjushri, also listen to the other auspicious retinues. In the past, when I was a Brahmin in this Saha world, with a lifespan of a thousand years, I heard this Mahayana sutra called "Auspicious Accumulation" at the glorious and radiant place where all auspiciousness arises from the perfectly enlightened Buddha, this Dharma category called "Possessing a Thousand Virtues," and I held it, kept it, read it, and spoke it. In this world, due to the influence of good and bad, many inauspicious signs appeared: bad times, bad births, inauspicious years and months, bad work, bad eating, bad sewing, bad house building, bad friend selection, bad business partnerships, bad livestock breeding, bad illness, bad death, bad road entry, bad corpse carrying, bad burial, bad cemetery, etc., which can completely pacify all inauspiciousness, completely gather all auspiciousness, completely eliminate all faults, completely gather all good qualities, bring glory and good fortune, be virtuous from beginning to end, completely gather all merits, reveal and know all auspicious gatherings, and eliminate all sins. I will teach you the "Great Auspicious Accumulation Sutra." Just by hearing or writing and reciting this sutra, it can completely pacify all inauspiciousness, and this sutra collection can dispel bad omens, bad dreams, bad signs, and all bad appearances. Whatever are the auspicious qualities of the eight supreme substances, may auspiciousness descend upon us here and now. May that auspiciousness always bring happiness and well-being! Om Sarva Ayurjnana Ratna Hamuki. Bhrum Bhrum Bhrum. Hum Hum Hum. Svasti. This is the Sutra of Auspicious Stacked Aspirations spoken from the mouth of the Buddha. In this life, may we have happiness, longevity, and obtain auspicious glory and prosperity. May we obtain fully endowed merit. In the future, may we attain the unsurpassed, perfect Buddhahood. Thus spoke the Bhagavan. And those assemblies endowed with auspiciousness, along with gods, humans, and asuras, rejoiced in what the Bhagavan had said and praised the Tathagata. At that time, Manjushri, the youthful one, asked the Bhagavan: O Bhagavan, how should I perform the ritual practice of this sutra? How should its ritual be performed? The Bhagavan replied: Manjushri, the ritual for this is to build a temple for the Three Jewels, to build a monastery, to build a religious college, to build a stupa, to build a vase, and to consecrate relics, scriptures, and texts, and wherever one builds a town, erects a new house, when a child is born, when a marriage takes place, when a corpse is removed, when cremation is done, when a grave is planted, to avert inauspicious signs and bad omens, to transform them, this should be spoken of as pure and delicious food, or five grains such as barley, rice, sesame, etc., or fruit, or grain essence, or honey, or a honeycomb. Its benefit is that all inauspicious signs are completely pacified, and in this life, one is endowed with all auspiciousness, and it is said that one obtains the unsurpassed fruit. Thus it was taught. Auspiciousness of the body, the unborn Dharmakaya. Auspiciousness of speech, the nectar sound of the sacred Dharma. Auspiciousness of mind, equality without delusion. Auspiciousness of qualities, leading beings from the six realms.
