Meditate on the completion of self-generation yoga, and offer extensive offerings to the Three Jewels. For the benefit of oneself and all sentient beings, move or repair the old statue of the departed. If you intend to do this tomorrow morning, request permission to do so. Offer a torma to the Dharma protectors and pray in the same way. The next morning, arrange offerings in front of the statue. After completing self-generation, recitation, and offerings, say: Now I intend to move the consecration, please allow me to do so. Allow the image of the statue to appear in a clean mirror, and visualize all the statues coming and residing in the mirror. From this, generate the Samaya beings. Invite the Wisdom Beings and pray that they remain in the mirror as long as it lasts. Since all phenomena are like reflections, be certain that whatever you visualize will definitely appear as it is. Make brief offerings and praises to the deities in the reflection, and make a mark to ensure that the top and bottom are not reversed. Cover it with yellow silk, etc. After the new statue is completed and before the time of consecration, do not open it, place it in a safe place, and make offerings in front of it. As much as possible, put the dust from the old statue into the new one, and invite the remaining parts with water, or do not let ordinary people use them, and do not let them go to the cemetery, but use them as materials for stupas, etc., and consecrate them. If this cannot be done, then on a high mountain, in a clean place, without a cemetery, invite all the remaining parts away. After the preparations for the consecration of the new statue are completed, on the night before the actual ritual, invite the mirror into the new statue. At the beginning of inviting the Wisdom Beings, open the cover of the mirror, and invite all the previous deities who are residing in the manner of the four perfections into the new statue. Again, invite other Wisdom Beings from the end of the realm of space and dissolve them, and then make offerings etc. according to the consecration ritual.
