A Concise Prayer to the Twenty-Five Disciples of Orgyen, Together with Their Retinue, the Essence of Blessings. Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo. A Concise Prayer to the Twenty-Five Disciples of Orgyen, Together with Their Retinue, the Essence of Blessings, is hereby presented. Namo Guru Bhya! Here, wishing to offer a concise prayer to Orgyen Rinpoche, the five types of Tothreng emanations, the eight names of Guru, and the twenty-five disciples, I, along with all beings, from now until enlightenment, take refuge in the Three Jewels and the Three Roots. In order to attain Buddhahood for the sake of others, I generate the mind of enlightenment in aspiration and action. Recite the refuge and bodhicitta three times. In the sky before me, amidst captivating clouds of offerings, upon a precious lion throne, lotus, sun, and moon, is the root guru, Orgyen Rinpoche. His body is white and red, youthful in appearance, blazing with splendor. His right hand holds a vajra, his left a skull cup, and he embraces the secret consort in a hidden manner, holding a khatvanga. He wears a secret robe, Dharma garments, and a thick cloak. On his head is a She'u hat, beautiful and liberating upon sight. His two feet are placed in the vajra posture, sitting upright. From the space of the rainbow light mass born from the three secrets, emanate the five Tothreng families and the eight names. The heart-sons, royal subjects, and the twenty-five disciples, etc., emanate like a gathering of clouds, an ocean of vidyadhara lamas. With the light rays marked by the three syllables at the three places, the wisdom beings are invited and become inseparable. Thus, visualize clearly. Hūṃ. Arise, assembly of Padmasambhava and dakinis! Consider, all Sugatas of the ten directions and three times! Great Lord Padmakara Tothreng Tsal, I beseech you to come from the abode of vidyadharas and dakinis! Thus, invite and absorb the wisdom beings. Reside upon the seat of a lion throne, lotus, sun, and moon. With reverence through the three doors, I prostrate and take refuge. Outer, inner, secret, and supreme clouds of offerings are presented. All accumulated sins and obscurations of the three times are confessed and purified. I rejoice in the virtues of noble and ordinary beings. I urge you to turn the wheel of Dharma, profound and vast. I beseech you not to pass into sorrow, but to remain forever. All virtuous deeds are dedicated to great enlightenment. Thus, accumulate merit. Time
