The Twentieth Aspiration by Arya Nagarjuna The Twentieth Aspiration by Arya Nagarjuna The Twentieth Aspiration composed by Arya Nagarjuna. From the Precious Garland: To the Buddha, the sacred Dharma, and the Sangha, And also to the Bodhisattvas, I go for refuge, directing all my actions; I prostrate to those worthy of offerings. I turn away from sinful deeds, And fully embrace all virtuous actions. I rejoice in the merit of all sentient beings. I respectfully join my palms in supplication, Beseeching the Fully Awakened Buddhas To turn the Wheel of Dharma, And to remain until the end of samsara for the benefit of beings. Through the merit of these actions, And whatever I have done or not done, May all sentient beings Possess the supreme Bodhicitta. May all sentient beings have stainless power, Be perfectly complete, free from all unfavorable conditions, Have autonomy over their actions, And possess a good livelihood. May all embodied beings Hold precious jewels in their hands, Have limitless resources of all kinds, And may their samsaric existence never be exhausted. May all women Transform into supreme beings at all times. May all sentient beings possess intelligence, And have a firm footing. May all sentient beings have beautiful complexions, Possess excellent forms and great splendor, Be pleasing to behold, free from illness, And possess great strength and long life. May all be skilled in means, Liberated from all suffering and fear, Devoted to the Three Jewels, And possess great Dharma and wealth. May they abide in loving-kindness, compassion, joy, And equanimity free from afflictions, Adorned with generosity, ethical conduct, patience, diligence, Concentration, and wisdom, May all accumulations be perfectly complete, With clear marks and signs, And may they attain the inconceivable ten bhumis, And the powers of mastery. May I and all others Be fully adorned with these qualities, Liberated from all faults, Holding supreme love for all sentient beings, Fulfilling the hopes of all sentient beings, Accomplishing all virtuous deeds, And always working to eliminate the suffering of all embodied beings. 仅仅听到名字的众生，愿他们获得无有错乱的纯正，以及圆满菩提的决定，生生世世跟随，五种神通得以证得。愿对一切众生，时时刻刻，恒常行利益安乐之事。世间之人，凡是想要作恶业的，愿他们一切都能无损，恒常立刻被遣除。土地、水、火、风，如同药物和寺院的树木一般，愿恒常一切众生，都能随意取用，无有阻碍。众生如同生命般珍爱，愿他们对我亦更加珍爱。愿他们的一切罪业成熟于我，愿我的一切善根皆成熟于彼。乃至任何一个众生，无论在何处尚未解脱，直至彼时，因此，纵然获得无上菩提，亦愿安住于世。如是昼念三遍，夜念三遍，则能获得无量功德。彼经中云：因此，于佛像、佛塔前，或者其他任何地方，这二十颂，日夜皆念诵三遍。如是念诵之功德，假如具有形色，则恒河沙数般的世间亦无法容纳。此乃薄伽梵所说。顶礼！回向文：依于大乘之理，从三皈依中分别开来，以此功德，愿一切众生，皆能归向三宝。萨瓦芒嘎拉姆（藏文，梵文天城体：सर्व मङ्गलम्，梵文罗马拟音：Sarva Mangalam，汉语字面意思：一切吉祥）。 二十愿文。圣者龙树。

Merely hearing the name, may all beings obtain pure and unconfused minds, certainty of perfect enlightenment, and follow in all lifetimes, attaining the five kinds of clairvoyance. May I always do good and bring happiness to all sentient beings. Whoever in this world desires to commit evil deeds, may all of them be unharmed and always instantly averted. May earth, water, fire, and wind, like medicine and the trees of monasteries, always be freely used by all sentient beings without hindrance. May sentient beings be cherished like life itself, and may they cherish me even more. May all their sins ripen upon me, and may all my virtues ripen upon them. As long as even one sentient being has not been liberated, wherever they may be, until then, even if I attain unsurpassed enlightenment, may I remain. By reciting this three times during the day and three times during the night, one will obtain immeasurable merit. It is said in the same text: Therefore, in front of Buddha images or stupas, or anywhere else, recite these twenty verses three times day and night. And whatever merit is gained from reciting this, if it had form, even worlds as numerous as the sands of the Ganges would not be able to contain it. This was spoken by the Bhagavan. Homage! Dedication: Relying on the principles of the Great Vehicle, having distinguished from the Three Refuges, may all beings, through this merit, turn towards the Three Jewels.
