虽多闻过失，然求证解脱道者仅有少许。 为此缘故，修持解脱与遍知。 虽多有自诩大乘道之士，然实修利他者甚少。 为此缘故，精勤守护誓言、修持禅定与念诵。 着重修持利他。 虽多有证悟成熟解脱之法者，然守护根本誓言者甚少。 为此缘故，精勤守护誓言、修持禅定与念诵。 虽多有自诩身居寂静处者，然心安住于寂静者甚少。 为此缘故，不散乱之禅定至关重要。 虽多有修持禅定之表象者，然从无记心中觉醒者甚少。 为此缘故，观修需融为一体。 虽多有稳固之经验与专注，然证悟无念之自性者甚少。 总而言之，见解之要在于无“是”。 何以故？因其远离“是”念之执着。 所谓修持之要在于无“非”。 各种法皆显现为修持至关重要。 所谓行持之要在于无矫揉造作。 以正念遍知一切至关重要。 如是，听闻、思维与修持， 愿皆能臻于究竟圆满。 此乃如是石喇嘛所说之语，善哉！于蛇年九月十七日。 为教法兴盛而宣说。

Though much is heard of faults, Few indeed seek the path of liberation. For that reason, strive for liberation and omniscience. Though many attain ripening and liberation of Dharma, Very few guard the essential vows. For that reason, diligently guard vows, meditate, and recite. Though many boast of hiding their bodies in solitude, Very few abide in mental solitude. For that reason, unwavering samadhi is essential. Though many have the appearance of meditating for years, Few awaken from the state of non-conceptuality. For that reason, integrate view and meditation. Though many have stable experiences and mindfulness, Few see the essence of non-mind. In general, the essence of view is the absence of "is". How so? Because it is free from the clinging of "is"-mind. The essence of meditation is the absence of "is not". It is essential that all kinds of Dharmas arise as meditation. The essence of conduct is the absence of artificiality. It is essential to have complete awareness with mindfulness. In this way, may listening, thinking, and meditating, All reach ultimate perfection. These are the words spoken by Stone Lama, may it be auspicious! On the 17th day of the ninth month of the Snake year. Spoken for the flourishing of the teachings.
