The Song of Vidyadhara Jamyang Dorje The Song of Vidyadhara Jamyang Dorje The Song of Vidyadhara Jamyang Dorje is present. Lama, the embodiment of all refuges, of great kindness, Root Lama, rays of loving-kindness and compassion, May you play as the crown ornament of this one servant. Protect your subsequent disciples with your kindness! Kyeho! Listen, excellent vessel of faith, With a mind that finds it hard to gain leisure and opportunity, is easily frightened, And prepares to stay for a long time, this itself will deceive you. Strive to avert the faults of samsara, Created by the unfailing seed of illusory results. Since the benefit of liberation comes from the power of virtue, Strive for virtue in the beginning, middle, and end. Strive to see the unborn nature of your own mind, Where relative truths are detailed and ultimate truths are gathered. When you see the nature of mind directly as it is, Be the object of sight as well as the seer. When you see the seer without an object of sight, That seer transcends thought and expression, There is not even a tiny atom that says "it exists," It is not non-existent, but that one is constant. It is not constant, but free from identification, It is not annihilation, but a clear and profound awareness. It is not seen by looking, it is empty from the beginning, It is not abandoned by giving up, like heat and fire. By meditating, who meditates? It is not the meditator himself. If the illusion of meditation is reversed, what will happen? Look and see, hehe! If there is no object to meditate on, but there is a meditator, Even if you realize the selflessness of the person, It is the fault of not realizing the selflessness of phenomena. Therefore, both the meditator and the object of meditation, Free from existence and non-existence, permanence and annihilation, beginning and end, Meditate without fabrication, like the sky. Although mindfulness is said to be the main practice of meditation, Mindfulness and attachment are said to be the cause of samsara. Therefore, cherish this non-grasping mindfulness. May the blessings and power of the six-fold Lama, Ripen completely in me, a fortunate one, May it become the supreme treasure for the teachings and all beings. Good! Good! Good! Emaho! Great source of all glorious qualities, Father, omniscient in the three times, Jikme Lingpa (1730-1798) I pray, please bless your disciples with your grace. Bestow supreme and common siddhis like rain. Listen, you who are like a spotless lotus, Although many have obtained the support of leisure and opportunity, The Dharma...

Practice and accomplishment are extremely rare, therefore it is crucial to gain confidence at the time of death. Although much is heard about the explanation of the law of karma, very few can avoid confusing what to take and what to abandon, therefore strive to do good and abandon evil. Although much is heard about the faults of samsara, very few seek the path of liberation, therefore practice liberation and omniscience. Although many claim to abide in the Mahayana path, very few actually practice benefiting others, therefore strive diligently to benefit others. Although many have attained ripening and liberation, very few keep the essential samaya vows, therefore protect the vows and engage in meditation and recitation. Although many claim to dwell in solitude, very few have their minds abide in solitude, therefore unwavering samadhi is key. Although there are many images of those who meditate, few awaken from the indeterminate mind, therefore non-distracted non-meditation is key. Although many claim to have seen the face of their own mind, few meet it without distraction, free from conceptualization, therefore liberate the view and meditation. Although many teach about the mindfulness of experience and focus, few see the nature of non-mindfulness. In short, in view, it is most important to have no "is". How can this be done? By abandoning the grasping of "is". Regarding meditation, it is most important to have no "is not", that is, to let all kinds of dharmas arise as meditation. Regarding behavior, it is most important to have no artificiality, and to pervade everything with the mindfulness of after-awareness. In this way, strive to reach the ultimate through listening, thinking, and meditating. These words were spoken by the Stone Lama, may it be auspicious! Sarva Mangalam (Sanskrit: सर्व मङ्गलम्, sarva maṅgalam, may all be auspicious!). Advice to Nyila Tenzin Dargye: Adorn yourself with an unbiased view, with a meditation free from clinging, and with a behavior that abandons artificiality. Free from bondage, attain freedom, complete in your own nature, may you be victorious! Emaho, wondrous and amazing Dharma! Although it is free from the three—arising, ceasing, and abiding—arising, ceasing, mind, and awareness are inseparable, like crystal and its light. The three places of arising, abiding, and going are inseparable, like water, moisture, and waves merging together. "Mind" refers to the conceptual thoughts of the three times—past, present, and future; "awareness" refers to its unchanging essence. The example of mind is like clouds, and rain, storms, hail, rainbows, like sudden and extraordinary phenomena. Awareness is like the primordial emptiness of the sky, invisible when looked at, empty like the sky. If you cling to the seer and the seen, you will create the fault of duality. Do not be distracted.

The solidity of the earth is also the intended target. If there is doubt of distraction, what is there to lose? For example, a collection of manifested illusions such as clouds, do not mix with the sky itself. Likewise, the primordial emptiness of awareness, does not mix with the collection of thoughts of the three times. By the manifested illusions such as rainbows, suns, etc., there is neither benefit nor harm to the sky. That
