The notes on the condensed commentary on that (referring to the Abhidharmakosha) are granted. The notes on the condensed commentary on that are granted. The notes on the condensed commentary on that are completed. The condensed commentary on that, in the first chapter of the Ornament of the Kosha, that is the path of uniting shamatha and vipashyana. Shamatha is samadhi, the nature of mind, the mind completely focuses on one object of focus. Vipashyana is wisdom, also arising from the mind, having the nature of completely distinguishing all dharmas, with the mind in equanimity, distinguishing the aspects of "this is with outflows," "this is without outflows," "this is completely defiled," "this is purified." If the part of shamatha is more, the mind will fall into the near distraction of dullness. If the part of vipashyana is more, it will fall into the near distraction of agitation. Therefore, by successively attending to appearance and attending to impermanence, one can also dispel the objects of near distraction and abide on the object to be contemplated. With the rope of mindfulness, from whatever state of shamatha and vipashyana is lost, one must withdraw the mind and focus on the correct goal, this is union. Through union itself, the state of entering in this way is entering without effort. This is its meaning. Through this method, it becomes the path to liberation, therefore it is said that union is the path. Also, in that, it is mentioned "observe your own mind and keep it calm," because it is one's own mind, so it is one's own mind, that is, the consciousness of mind. To individually observe it is to individually know, because to individually observe the meaning, it is individual observation. If one individually analyzes the nature of the skandhas such as form, then: "It is not one part, nor many subtle particles. Nor is it their collection, because subtle particles cannot be formed. If six are combined simultaneously, the subtle particle will become six parts. If the six occupy the same position, the aggregate will also become like a subtle particle." Like this, because it does not possess an object of focus, it is certain that these are only mind. Individual

Thinking is the very meaning of certainty. If it is meditation, obtaining one-pointedness of mind is to individually think about the mind and abide in equanimity. Furthermore, in the Ornament of Kosala it says: "Thus it is taught that one should generate an unbroken stream of mind towards that sign. Each day, having well contemplated the non-objective samadhi, one should abandon the signs of evil thoughts, such as those of householders, renunciates, and demons. As it is said: 'The mad elephant of the mind wanders astray, tie it to the pillar of the object with the rope of mindfulness, gradually subdue it with the iron hook of wisdom.'" Like that which is said, therefore, it is thinking at the tip of the nose. Vajra Small is that if meditation on the tip of the nose becomes stable, the sign of the touch of bliss will arise, because it is the touch of the cause of bliss, therefore it is the touch of bliss. If Vajra Small exists, because it touches bliss, therefore Vajra Small is the touch of bliss, Vajra Small is that from that touch of bliss, the mind will become equally abiding, which means that one will obtain samadhi. Thus it is taught that if one meditates on Vajra Small, at the tip of the nose or in another direction that is not the tip of the nose, by whatever difference in the sign of the touch of bliss, the body's bad states and other faults can be eliminated, and what is called extreme pliancy of the body will arise. If one becomes free from the body's bad states, the body will become workable, and one will be able to become invisible. Because of extreme pliancy of the body, one will experience bliss, and because one possesses bliss, the mind will become one-pointed. Like that which is said. When the sign of Vajra Small's touch of bliss arises, what is said, "When the sign of Vajra Small's touch of bliss arises," is that from meditating on Vajra Small, at whatever time the touch of bliss of the body or mind arises, that sign is called "pervading," which means completely unfolding and vast. What is called "that mind" is because of the nature of the appearance of external forms, white or yellow, etc., the mind is called "that mind." What is called "should be universal" means that it should also be sent out in all ten directions.

That is the feeling of the difference of the touch of the cause, that is also called mind. To make it pervasive means that the characteristic of the touch of bliss pervades the entire body, that is the meaning. After the mind pervades as much as desired, it will also pervade the three realms. To pervade as much as desired means that delight arises in houses, monasteries, places, etc., which is as much as desired. In this way, after pervading as desired, what is called mind is the mind in meditative equipoise appearing as an image. In 'also in the three realms,' the word 'also' means that because of gaining mastery over yoga, one can also master the realms of space. Then, 'that also gathers' means that 'that' means mind. The word 'also' is in relation to pervading. 'Gathering' means taming. How far should it be gathered? Therefore, it is said to abide between the tip of the nose, wanting one cubit, two cubits, and three cubits, etc., and gathering up to the point of reaching the tip of the nose. Svasti (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,May there be well-being).
