As predicted by the great teacher (Padmasambhava) himself, when his own years reached the time of decline, and the straits of death arose, a Dam Sri (evil spirit) dressed in cloth felt as if his waist was about to be cut by a sword, and he felt extremely ashamed, so he made repentance and supplication. At that moment, he had a vision of devotion and blessings to the great teacher's body, which could not be satisfied by seeing, and he attained such realization and received the oral transmission: HRIH (Tibetan: ཧྲཱིཿ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ह्रीः, Sanskrit Romanization: hrīḥ, Chinese literal meaning: great compassion)! Rūpa śapta gandhe rāsa parśe dharmā dhartu mahā pañca rakta bhālingta bodhicitta ghana cakra pūja ho! The praise is: Hūṃ! Charming, brave, terrifying, the body of the wrathful guru; laughing, scolding, fierce, the speech playing with the supreme horse; compassion, drum sound, wisdom, the mind of the garuda. I prostrate and praise the deity who subdues heresy. The recitation and visualization are: At the heart, on the sun disc, at the end of the Hūṃ, the garland of mantras revolves like a torch.
