Having obtained this precious human existence, may it be meaningful, For the sake of practitioners diligently taming the senses, Among all bonds, generosity is the most powerful, Hearing that you are accustomed to giving away possessions, I am especially pleased. Now, with renunciation towards the uncertainty of when death will come, This human body, more precious than the seven jewels, In a secluded place, free from the faults of busyness, The ascetic practice of equating life and practice, With sincere compassion for beings and devout faith, Contemplate appearances as deities, and emptiness as free from elaboration, Protect the unfabricated nature with the sentinel of mindfulness. If you gain devotion, you will meet the face of the Lama, Cut off the hopes and doubts of not seeing the image. If your minds blend, you will be connected in births and lifetimes, The object of compassion is faith and devotion, There is not a moment of separation between you and me. This is the oral instruction, and this is also the reply to the letter, Together with loving-kindness and a vow, Along with hair and nails, from the Dharma wheel of Samye, It is being sent into the hands of Dharma Bhadra.
