From the syllable Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) emanates immeasurable light, gathering all the essence of the animate and inanimate into a mass of light. By uttering "Hūṃ Hūṃ" (藏文:ཧཱུྃ་ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:हूँ हूँ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽吽), it enters the vase in the hand. By sipping and swallowing, the entire body is filled with the nectar of immortal life, thus accomplishing the Vajra Life. Reciting and contemplating this, holding the vase breath with closed lips, and remaining in the state of indivisible space and wisdom, is a particularly special longevity practice with a protective tent. Upon rising from the session: "By this merit, may I and all sentient beings conquer the Lord of Death and the four Maras, and be liberated from the great ocean of birth, old age, sickness, and death. May we attain the Protector Amitāyus." Thus, dedicate and make aspirations, and offer auspicious prayers. Furthermore, when offering a stable life prayer for one's own root guru, from taking refuge and generating bodhicitta up to "filled with immortal nectar" is as before. In his heart, upon an eight-petaled lotus, at the center of a multicolored vajra of five lights, above a golden swastika, upon a sun and moon cushion, the root guru himself appears in his current form, youthful, vibrant, endowed with the marks and signs, blazing with supreme splendor, and in his heart, upon a lotus and sun-moon cushion, the red syllable Hrīḥ (藏文:ཧྲཱིཿ,梵文天城体:ह्रीः,梵文罗马拟音:hrīḥ,汉语字面意思:舍) radiates light in all directions, appearing as if actually present. With devotion, recite the Hrīḥ (藏文:ཧྲཱིཿ,梵文天城体:ह्रीः,梵文罗马拟音:hrīḥ,汉语字面意思:舍) syllable as much as possible. One's own heart, etc., is as before. The essence of sipping and swallowing dissolves into the Hrīḥ (藏文) syllable in the guru's heart, thereby attaining the siddhi of immortal life. Recite and contemplate this, and hold the vase breath. Blend the guru's mind and one's own mind indivisibly, and remain in the unconditioned state of reality. Upon rising from the session: "The single source of benefit and happiness," etc., make aspirations and offer auspicious prayers. This was extracted from the profound treasure of the omniscient Prajñāraśmi, an emanation of the great translator Vairocana, and arranged into a recitation manual by Khyentse Wangpo, Āyurjñānapuṇḍīkuru. From the Pema's Oral Instructions, the Dharma section of Self-Liberation Through Seeing the Three Roots, the Sadhana Practice Ocean of Activities for various deities.
