Here is the condensed daily practice of meditation and recitation of the Near Lineage of the Union of Longevity and Swiftness, which bestows the glory of immortality: From now until enlightenment, I and all beings take refuge in the Three Roots, the deity of longevity. In order to attain Buddhahood for the sake of others, I generate the mind to accomplish the immortal vidyadhara. Repeat three times. Om Svabhava Shuddha Sarva Dharma Svabhava Shuddho 'Ham. The place and its contents are empty and without focus. The outer container is the pure land of the Great Bliss Lotus arrangement. In the center, on a precious throne supported by peacocks, on top of various lotus and moon cushions, my own mind is HRIH. Transforming into the protector Amitayus, red and clear, with one face and two hands in meditative equipoise, holding a longevity vase filled with immortal nectar. Adorned with silks and precious jewels, seated in the vajra posture. At his heart, on a moon disc, is the red syllable HRIH, filled with five-colored bindus, the support of longevity. Above the crown of the head are the root and lineage lamas, in the form of the Bhagavan Amitayus. From the hearts of those arranged in tiers, light radiates, inviting the wisdom beings, who dissolve into non-duality, becoming the essence of all refuge. Dza Hum Bam Ho. Joining the palms together: Om Ah Hum Hi Hi! Boundless Light cherishes all beings. Amitayus bestows immortality upon beings. Hayagriva subdues all obstacles of beings. Padmasambhava is the refuge of beings in the degenerate age. Thangtong Gyalpo, when supplicated, is never deceptive. I pray, dispel obstacles and hindrances. From the light rays of the hearts of the root and lineage lamas, the decline and increase of one's own life force, and the essence of longevity of samsara and nirvana, are gathered and dissolved into the vase. May it be attained. Thus speaking and thinking, recite mantras and prayers, reciting as much as possible. When concluding the session: Root and lineage lamas, yidams, peaceful and wrathful deities, with the power and energy of blessings, create an army, may obstacles, diseases, evil spirits, and sins be pacified, and grant longevity, wisdom, and immortal siddhis. With this prayer, may the root and lineage lamas transform into a stream of immortal nectar, gradually dissolve into light, melting into the bindu in the heart center, may longevity and wisdom siddhis be attained. Visualize your own three places marked with the three syllables, and recite: Om (藏文：ཨོཾ，梵文天城体：ओ，梵文罗马拟音：oṃ，汉语字面意思：Om), Ah (藏文：ཨཱཿ，梵文天城体：आः，梵文罗马拟音：āḥ，汉语字面意思：Ah), Hum (藏文：ཧཱུྃ，梵文天城体：हुं，梵文罗马拟音：hūṃ，汉语字面意思：Hum). By this merit, may all sentient beings, including myself, have long lives, be free from illness, and possess the Dharma in this life, and in the next life, be born in the Pure Land of Sukhavati, and quickly attain the state of Amitabha. May we enjoy the glory of immortal life, possess intelligent minds and discerning wisdom, and whatever wealth and prosperity there may be in samsara and nirvana, may all of that be spontaneously accomplished. May the teacher and disciples not be separated, but go together. May the life of the body be unchanging, firm and stable. May the enjoyment of good tea never cease. May happiness and Dharma increase, may there be auspiciousness! Conclude with dedication, aspiration, and auspicious words, and engage in daily activities. If practicing the approach, arrange the support for the front generation and offering tormas, etc., extensively, as in the case of the longevity empowerment. Through the four sessions, perform the approach of generation and recitation, inseparable from oneself and the front, completing ten hundred thousand or four hundred thousand recitations, including the completion. At the end, receive the siddhis in the manner of self-entry. If abbreviating, it is also acceptable to complete the practice based on the single self-generation. This was also arranged by the vidyadhara monk Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo in the meditation cave of the sacred Pal Chuwo Ri (དཔལ་ཆུ་བོ་རི), blessed by the great accomplished master, according to the meaning of the original old text. May the merit of clarifying it slightly again cause all beings to quickly attain the immortal wisdom body!
