Dwelling in the unchanging, sky-like vajra realm of dharma, Holding the power of accomplished life, complete in enjoyment, The emanation body, a net of magical displays taming beings as needed, Sole refuge, Lama, we call to you, consider us with love. Protector, you have primordially attained the supreme permanence, Though transcending the marks of birth and cessation, For the sake of guiding the assemblies of disciples to be tamed, You remain in equipoise in the great peace of the dharma realm. When the teachings and beings of Jambudvipa in general, and in particular, The explanation and practice of the Early Translation Vehicle are declining, And all of us, the assemblies of following students, Call out in wretchedness and anguish, consider us now. Having perfected your vow to benefit others, And manifested the supreme state of enlightenment, Stirring the power of wisdom and compassion, Swiftly display the unerring magic of emanation. With the fivefold perfection of vision, And the wonders of a thousand auspicious lamps, Completely fulfilling all aspects of liberation and activity, We pray that you fill and expand the world with gods and beings. May the clear image of the supreme emanation arise, Reaching the far shore of study, reflection, and meditation, And through the marvelous deeds of the three wheels, Bless the increase of benefit and happiness for beings and the teachings. Through the power of truth of the ocean of the Three Jewels and Three Roots, And the unfailing strength of the nature of reality, phenomena, cause, and effect, May it be swiftly accomplished as we have prayed, And may the three realms be filled with auspicious light. Thus, at the time when the incomparable protector of the teachings and beings, the Fourth Dzogchen Rinpoche, the Vajra Holder Migyur Namkhai, showed the manner of abiding in the great peace of the dharma realm, this prayer for the swift appearance of the unerring moon-like emanation, called "The Melodious Sound Accomplishing All Wishes," was composed as an auspicious offering by the supreme emanation of the teacher and master who illuminates the Early Translation teachings.

With offerings of earth and the first gifts of precious jewels, and urged by a rosary of jewels, I offer at the crown of the head. May this prayer, written spontaneously by Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo, the detached Dharma Lord, be fulfilled accordingly. I pray that the gurus, victorious ones, and their retinues bestow their blessings!
