A Prayer for the Long Life of the Guide, the Precious Guru Kunga Chokyi Wangpo—Called The Melodious Sound of Immortal Accomplishment. May the immortal, limitless life protector be victorious. Through the blessings of the compassionate mind of the wish-fulfilling wheel, May the glorious Guru live for hundreds of kalpas, And may his activities spread in all directions and times. His mass of discipline is free from the faults of wrongdoing, He has reached the far shore of vast hearing and contemplation, He holds high the victory banner of intense renunciation, I pray that Kunga Chokyi Wangpo may live long. Loving-kindness and compassion, the supreme mind of enlightenment arise, Samadhi and wisdom are without stain, His pure white activities for the benefit of others are inconceivable, I pray that the great sprout of the Victorious Ones may live long. In a solitary place, the profound path of the four empowerments, By meditating with one-pointed concentration, he has completely purified the four obscurations, He has attained mastery over the great kingdom of the four kayas, I pray that the crown jewel of the Vajra Holder may live long. May the lotus feet of the venerable Guru remain firm for hundreds of kalpas, May the thoughts and actions of faithful disciples be accomplished according to the Dharma, May the teachings of explanation and practice flourish, and may all beings be happy, May they quickly attain the state of enlightenment. This was especially requested with auspicious offerings by the great renunciate yogi Manjushri Dhaja, the heart-son of that Lord. I myself also aroused it with a mind of utmost purity. Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo, the free from dust, prayed on the tenth day of the white side of the first month of the Earth Dragon year (1928). May it be accomplished as it is, and may the Guru, the Victorious Ones, and the Sons bless it. Sarva dā kalyaṇaṃ bhava tu. May all be auspicious at all times.
