Praise to Teacher Lodrö Chokse, A Song of Spring's Splendor Praise to Teacher Lodrö Chokse, A Song of Spring's Splendor Praise to Teacher Lodrö Chokse, called "A Song of Spring's Splendor." I prostrate to Manjushri, the Lion of Speech, inseparable from the Lama! At the peak of the smiling garland of Kakubha, Like specks of molten crystal, A spring of youth like being attached to Gulava. I, free from the clinging to self, the body of emptiness mudra. 1 Playing in the elegance of the marks and signs, Beautifully adorned with a net of precious jewels, Just showing a wrathful appearance with a tea-colored hair knot, Like stealing the glory of the full moon. 2 The emanation of Tara, the Noble Mother, the goddess of sound, Without clinging to differences, on the lotus of your throat, Not just now, but always resting, Therefore, effortlessly grant all the Dharma of Naropa's teachings and realization. 3 Like Pasang (Venus) adorning the cloudless sky, Your nectar vase of a body, whose end cannot be seen, More precious than the supreme Cintamani jewel, Adorns the crown of all Vidyadharas and Dakinis. 4 Like a yak, the mind full of pride and ignorance, Like the sun's rays binding the kumuda lotus, The light of your beautiful face, like a jasmine flower, Binds the wind-mind wandering like a fox into the central channel. 5 Adorned with a hat of Ratna and clusters of Utpala lotuses, Clothed in brocade silk and various ornaments, The vine of your hand, free from clamor, Is adorned with a precious vessel of inseparable union. 6 Like horns, the stiff Yaksha spirits and elementals, Those with harmful thoughts wandering in the valleys, Tightly binding the clear light free from flesh and blood, Hurrying to bestow the signs of the ten bhumis upon those who seek Dharma. 7 Like a new grove of sandalwood trees on Mount Hwa, Filled with the fragrance of bliss, intoxicated with dripping pleasure, The wisdom that knows like a mirror, Has become the supreme of knowing as it is and knowing as many. 8 The spring where Manjushri, the Hero, sleeps in the heart, With the magical power of transforming into a young sun, The garden of common and uncommon Pundarika lotuses, Especially this flower is the second Buddha. 9 Therefore, on the lotus at the sole of your feet, Protector, Constantly praying with a rosary of jewel-like names, The fortunate and noble one who hangs it on their ears, Is greater than the state of a wish-fulfilling tree. 10 Even in a dream, abandoning other refuges.

Praying to the inseparable supreme Lama, With the hand of compassion, please hold us entirely, and from the ocean of suffering of afflictions, Grant us liberation! 11 In appearance and emptiness, joyfully playing in the four mudras, Sound and emptiness, indivisible, merging into the sphere of Nada. Awareness and emptiness, all aspects, dissolving into the supreme possessor, May bliss and emptiness, clear light, become one taste in the bindu! 12 Thus, this "Song of the Auspicious Goddess of Spring," praising the teacher Lodan Chokse, was composed by the youth Abhaya.
