Praise to the Second Buddha of Oddiyana: A Garland of Smiling Lotuses of Three Faiths Praise to the Second Buddha of Oddiyana: A Garland of Smiling Lotuses of Three Faiths Praise to the Second Buddha of Oddiyana, entitled "A Garland of Smiling Lotuses of Three Faiths." Namaḥ Padmakaraya (Tibetan, Devanagari: नमःपद्म कराय, Romanized Sanskrit: namaḥ padma karāya, Literal Chinese meaning: Homage to the Lotus One). To the treasure of the qualities of abandonment and realization of all Buddhas and their heirs, Whose body is of one taste in the ruby, With the vines of a billion qualities of liberation and maturation, I bow to the chariot that fulfills the hopes of those to be tamed. 1 In the center of your body's great bliss lotus palace, With the wisdom that blazes with the splendor of signs and examples, In order to bestow the glory of seeing without contradiction, The music of praise is played throughout existence and peace. 2 All the interdependent connections of the ten winds of existence in his speech, From playing in the realm of unchanging melting bliss, With the tambura of bliss-emptiness blazing and dripping, the four joys, He shows the supreme meaning beyond sound and word. 3 All that is known and knowable, With the seal of primordial youth, of one taste, The form of compassion, luminous, all-supreme, and perfect, He rests in the realm of spontaneous awareness-holders. 4 All the conceptual gatherings of the movements of the sun and moon of grasping and being grasped, In the moment of playing in the empty space with sound, With the nectar of co-emergent great bliss and eternity, It transforms into the immortal rainbow body, the vajra body. 5 The lord of the wheel who bestows the supreme blessings, The magical Heruka (Tibetan, Devanagari: हेरुक, Romanized Sanskrit: heruka, Literal Chinese meaning: Blood-drinking deity) who fulfills all desires, The Dakini who bestows the glory of bliss-emptiness activity, Therefore, the wisdom body that is the union of all three roots. 6 In short, with the white smile of the wisdom, power, and love of the Buddhas and their heirs, After taking care of all fortunate beings, He gives rest with the nectar of the instructions of maturation and liberation. 7 Therefore, even in a dream, at your feet, By the power of scattering flowers of praise and offering, In all lives, in the cool shade of his compassion, May I enjoy the feast of breathing freely. 8 With the silver liquid of the illusory net of skillful means and wisdom, inseparable and co-arising, The two accomplished yogis who bind the realm of all concepts, May they live with the glory of benefiting themselves and others. 9 In the twenty-four sacred places of the vajra body, After being embraced by the white and red awareness-holder Dakinis, With the youthfulness intoxicated by the great bliss of the four joys, May they diligently act.

May all gatherings of deluded appearances be bound! 10. The utterly pure, primordial wisdom is the face of the three doors of liberation, without union or separation. By equally playing in the nature of self-awareness, may the unchanging, all-encompassing, supreme qualities be accomplished! 11. Especially in the midst of the earth, piled with camphor dust, may all sentient beings bound by the noose of suffering, be liberated by the hand of compassion, and may they ascend to the supreme, desirable ladder of benefit and happiness! 12. From now until the end of existence, may all who cling to the creeper of birth due to karma and its results, be protected by the rays of your wisdom and compassion, so that the hundred petals of the lotus of two benefits may blossom! 13. When the time comes to pass away, in the center of the city of the Dakinis, on the Copper-Colored Glorious Mountain, pure in the eight aggregates, having seen the face of Rig-tong Tso-kye Dorje (Awareness-Emptiness Lotus-Born Vajra), may the sudden, deluded thoughts be stopped without wavering! 14. May the fragrant breeze of constant reverence stir, and the white clouds of compassion play and rain down. Then, with the string of loving nectar drops, may the lotus of supreme enlightenment blossom! Thus, this short way of praying to Padmakara, the second Buddha who knows all times, was quickly written as it appeared on the tenth day of the third white month of joy. May it be auspicious! A praise to Orgyen, the second Buddha, a garland of blooming lotuses of the three faiths.
