Praise to Manjushri, the Lion of Speech - A Garland of Red Lotuses Praise to Manjushri, the Lion of Speech - A Garland of Red Lotuses A collection of praises and supplications, a play that pleases the Buddhas and their sons, a cloud of infinite qualities, thus it abides. Praise to Manjushri, the Lion of Speech - called A Garland of Red Lotuses. Homage to the Noble Manjushri). All phenomena that have become entities, are bound in the net of bliss and emptiness, in a dance that possesses the best of all forms, to Manjushri, I prostrate. 1. On a cluster of padmaraga gems, embraced by the rays of the rising sun, a dance of graceful beauty of marks and signs, to the body that is magnificent to behold, I prostrate. 2. The stream of speech that bestows supreme peace, the dust of the immortal nectar of power, gently caressing the ears of listeners, from the unfolding of a garland of smiles of benefit and happiness, I prostrate. 3. All the winds of grasping and conceptual thought, dancing in the expanse of non-elaboration, with a garland of light of wisdom and compassion, to the blossoming of the supreme lotus of liberation, I prostrate. 4. The treasure of compassion of all the Buddhas, the wisdom body merged into one, in the wheel of constant continuity, to the taming and liberation of all beings to be subdued, I prostrate. 5. In short, the guide of the Buddhas and their sons, all qualities of abandonment and realization, in the play of the three vajras, gathering closely, I pay homage. 6. In all realms of existence and peace, clouds of supreme and unsurpassed offerings, whether grasped as self or not, I offer with the clarity of innate wisdom. 7. Whose biography is vast, whether it can be measured is unknown, but with the sweet sound of poetry, may the wise ones praise. 9. All the darkness of delusion and samsara, led by the dawn of remorse, the youthful sun of the four powers, I will not even befriend. 10. All those deeds of virtue, the form of the moon, welcomed by the rays of fame, may the mouths of the jasmine petals of joy, always bloom. 11. To beings tormented by the heat of samsara, wandering in the wilderness, with the flowers of the clouds of the two truths, I constantly urge them to rest. 12. May all the Buddhas who delight in peace, in the wheel of the inconceivable adornment of the three secrets, not waver at all times, I beseech you to have compassion for the dispositions of beings to be tamed. 13. Thus I praise Manjushri.

O Protector! May the result of the two accumulations, represented by this praise, be planted in the field of omniscience, and may the filaments of benefit and happiness blossom! 14 Whatever activities such as teaching, listening, contemplating, and reciting and practicing properly, are done for the benefit of oneself and others, may they be accomplished swiftly without obstacles! 15 All the appearances of his three secrets of body, speech, and mind, become one taste in the nature of the three doors, and thus, may the three purifications, perfections, and ripenings be manifested, and may I abide in the supreme state of the three bodies! 16 Whenever the time of death approaches, in the presence of the heroes and dakinis, at the lotus feet of the Noble One himself, may I receive the breath of prophecy and comfort! 17 From this life onwards, in all future lives, may I be embraced by the moon of speech, and may the white lotus of hearing, thinking, and meditating blossom fully, able to benefit the teachings and beings! 18 Ultimately reaching the ten bhumis, the five paths, and so on, with the qualities of abandonment and realization fully perfected, may I proceed to the essence of enlightenment and become perfectly and completely enlightened! 19 Thereafter, again for the sake of all beings, without missing the time for those to be tamed, may the dance of emanations, which seizes them, transform until the end of samsara! 20 In short, by holding the wisdom and compassion, the incomparable wisdom, praised by all the Buddhas, may I become just like Manjushri! 21 Thus, this brief composition of praise to Red Manjushri, the Lion of Speech, was requested spontaneously by the youth Abhaya. Praise to Manjushri, the Lion of Speech - A Garland of Red Lotuses.
