May the all-knowing Shakya chief bestow goodness and excellence upon the three realms. 1 He who is without any faults, With immaculate wisdom, compassion, and so on, Having reached the end of the ocean of praiseworthiness, What mind would not pay homage? 2 Therefore, like the moon of nectar, Like a forest of fragrant sandalwood, Your liberation, the healer, Is slightly expressed by the music of praise. 3 When the supreme practice of enlightenment, The wish-fulfilling tree born of churning, Blazing with the fame of "all-knowing," Is born at the far shore of existence and peace. 4 As if newly attaining the supreme liberation, For beings who are extremely difficult to tame, With loving-kindness, the final state of existence, Is beautiful in the grove of the immortal race. 5 At that time, with medicine and so on, The melody of the world's virtuous speech, Held by the spring of goodness, Blooms like a lotus. 6 When countless merits, Create each part of the marks and signs in turn, Even suppressing the assembly of the noble ones, It comes with the guise of the lord of the two drinkers. 7 Wherever goodness appears, In the presence of all that is held, With the playful charm of hundreds of wonders, One unique, unprecedented utpala flower is placed. 8 What need is there to mention only you, Who have the seeds of long-accustomed habits? Bearing the flower of a wondrous form, This bearable tree is amazing. From the great cloud of perfect virtuous conduct, The wealth that arises delights sentient beings, With an inexhaustible feast of rest, It takes the fame of accomplishing all purposes. 10 The supreme wisdom, free from dust, From the great sal tree that has grown, The flowers of as many knowable things as there are, Are beautiful as if sprinkled with nectar. 11 Alas!
