K) Second Volume, First Chapter. K) Second Volume, First Chapter. Then again, the Bhagavan said. Then there are twelve folios and ten lines of text. Thus it is said. Having asked with reason, Subhuti. How could it be? After praying thus, just as there are discriminations of long and short, white and blue, etc., for things like rabbit horns and the sons of widows, etc., for sentient beings that are utterly non-existent, are forms, etc., of the nature of aggregates? Or, is suchness of the nature of non-aggregates? It is not existent. This is the concluding statement. Thus spoke the great Madhyamika, Asanga, like the Second Buddha. It is not form. Then there are seven folios. Second Chapter. Then there are twelve folios, four and a half lines. One should learn. Thus, having shown the instruction of non-apprehension of sentient beings, in order to show the instruction of words of non-apprehension of terms. On the path, knowing the Dharma with forbearance, Subhuti thinks. Then there is a little less than one line. If the nature of the terms of a Bodhisattva is the five aggregates such as form, etc., and if they are the nature of fourteen terms such as permanence, etc., the Bodhicitta will transform. Then there are five folios and nine and a half lines. Do you think so? Thus, each holding onto their terms, he asked. He replied: No, it is not so. Then, the Venerable Subhuti, because forms, etc., are themselves completely imputed. If they are utterly non-existent, how could the apprehension of their terms arise? If the terms are not apprehended, how could a Bodhisattva arise? Thus, he showed the non-apprehension of terms, and that a Bodhisattva is not of the nature of terms. Thus spoke the Madhyamika. Subhuti. Then there are four folios and three lines remaining. The Bhagavan, relying on the non-apprehension of terms, gave instructions. He taught. Then there is one folio and nine lines remaining. One should learn. Thus, having shown the instruction of non-apprehension of terms, in order to show the instruction of non-apprehension of all dharmas. On the path, knowing the Dharma, Subhuti. Then there is one line remaining. Not seeing. Saying thus, etc., the realm of the perfectly established Dharma of completely imputed dharmas.

One does not truly see accordingly. The sphere of the perfectly established dharma also does not truly see accordingly the dharma of the completely imputed. This is what the Madhyamikas say. The meaning of this is that, apart from the wisdom arising from others, the completely imputed dharma does not see the perfectly established by dharma, but the completely imputed of the perfectly established appears and is not seen. In order to explain this in detail, the forbearance of subsequent knowledge on the path is: Subhuti, form. From the eight lines after that: Subsequent knowledge on the path is: Subhuti, the Suchness of the sphere with defilements, does not truly see accordingly the Suchness of the undefiled sphere of the unconditioned.
