The two higher realms are double that. As it is said, fifty human years are one day and night for the Four Great Kings; thirty of these days make a month, and twelve months make a year, and their lifespan is five hundred years. Similarly, one hundred human years are one day and night for the Thirty-three Gods (Trayastrimsa), accumulating to one thousand years. Two hundred human years are one day and night for the Yama gods, amounting to two thousand years. Four hundred human years are one day and night for the Tushita gods, amounting to four thousand years. Eight hundred human years are one day and night for the Nirmanarati gods, amounting to eight thousand years. Sixteen hundred human years are one day and night for the Paranirmitavasavartin gods, amounting to sixteen thousand years.
