Well established by scripture without contradiction. Well established by scripture without contradiction. Etc., although not apparent, is known as it is. The Sutra says: The intention of saying so is also that since the mind is not truly established, its contraction and so on are also not truly established. Knowing in emptiness is said to mean knowing the contraction and so on of the mind. In the commentary on those Sutras, it says: Subhuti, the Tathagata knows the contraction and expansion of the minds of those sentient beings as they truly are by the nature of reality. That is to say, seeing the nature of mind, knowing that the contraction and expansion of mind are not as they truly are, and knowing that they do not exist, is called knowing the contraction and expansion of mind. Furthermore, knowing that all sentient beings are of the nature of exhaustion, of the nature of detachment, of the nature of cessation, of the nature of abandonment, and are empty of inherent existence, is said to be knowing those minds. Etc., because it is said like this. Therefore, since the basis of emptiness of all phenomena, the perfectly established reality of the nature of reality, appears directly, and then by knowing, it is implicitly known that phenomena do not exist. Therefore, it is said that he knows all phenomena. If one sees it in this way, one truly sees the meaning of the great intention. Well established by scripture without contradiction.
