If self-emptiness and the realm of signlessness are different names, it is too extreme. If self-emptiness and the realm of signlessness are different names, it is too extreme. Similarly, if it is thought that self-emptiness and the realm of signlessness are different names, then all things whose signs have not ceased will also become the realm of signlessness because they are self-empty. If this is accepted, then it will become that the signs have ceased. Because the venerable Maitreya said, "That cessation," the meaning of the realm of signlessness is said to be the basis on which that sign has ceased. Moreover, the noble Asanga also said, "Why is it called signless? Because the signs are nearly pacified." If self-emptiness and the realm of signlessness are different names, it is too extreme.
