If one considers all tantras to be merely mind-only, it indicates a lack of understanding of their intended meaning. If one considers all tantras to be merely mind-only, it indicates a lack of understanding of their intended meaning. Similarly, it is highly unreasonable to think that profound tantras such as the Kalachakra do not transcend the mind-only doctrine. In the glorious Vimalaprabha (Stainless Light), it says: "Consciousness, in ultimate truth, is not accepted by the wise as existing, being free from the nature of one and many, like a lotus in the sky. It is neither existent nor nonexistent, nor both existent and nonexistent, nor is it not the nature of both. That reality, liberated from the four extremes, is understood by the Madhyamikas." Therefore, "One and many are also one, equal and unequal are also equal," and so forth, are the tenets of the Madhyamika school. And so forth, because many profound and vast teachings that transcend mind-only have been taught. The tantras, mantras, deities, and ultimately, the mandalas of Kalachakra and others, are all self-arisen wisdom that transcends mind, intellect, and consciousness. Therefore, one should not slander the profound scriptures that have completely transcended mind-only, because it would become a great act of abandoning the Dharma. If one considers all tantras to be merely mind-only, it indicates a lack of understanding of their intended meaning.
