In the Sutra of the Great Miraculous Teaching, it says: O Akashagarbha! This noble Li Tsabi possesses the wisdom of hearing all the Buddha's teachings, abides in the unwavering truth, is the great Dharma boat that crosses the four rivers, opens the door to the Four Noble Truths, erects the banner of the Four Brahma Viharas, spreads the claws of the Four Sangrahavastus, and is the man who defeats all opponents in order to completely empty the realm of Mara. O Akashagarbha! In the past, hundreds of thousands of eons ago, in the teachings of the Bhagavan named Auspicious Supreme Umbrella, there was a king named Ajin. O Akashagarbha, the city of that king, Magadha, was prosperous and powerful. Because of his clear intelligence, he loved the Dharma and revered the Three Jewels. He had a prince named Parzika, who was as white and beautiful as snow, pleasing to the eye, and possessed human characteristics. O Akashagarbha, after that prince took refuge in the Buddha, he soon attained the state of Arhat and became proficient in the five supernormal powers, strength, and clairvoyance. Then, by the power of the Buddha, in the morning, he draped his monastic skirt and Dharma robes over his shoulders, carried his alms bowl and staff, ascended into the sky, and descended into the village of the carpenter. King Deva-buddhi was serving thousands of heretics, and the Bodhisattva sat among them. After sitting there, they became jealous. Among them was a virtuous leader named Good Sun. O Akashagarbha, he said to the Bodhisattva: Do you believe in the Vedas? The Bodhisattva replied in verse: If this alms bowl of mine is shaken, I will abandon Buddhism today. If you cannot shake it, then you should truly practice the Dharma of the Buddha. Having said this, he placed the alms bowl on the mat. They shook it again and again, but the bowl remained as stable as Mount Sumeru.

If you destroy the miraculous powers, we will enter Buddhism, and if you cannot do it, you will be the same. After speaking, he went to the sky and transformed into the four-faced Brahma. Each face displayed various Vedas, and he said to the Bodhisattva: If you have the strength and ability, now is the time for me to fall to the ground. Bhikshu who upholds discipline, do not be lazy, act quickly, I am the incarnation who displays illusions. After speaking, the Bodhisattva also went on top of him, holding the alms bowl and the staff, pressing him to the ground, causing him to vomit blood and suffer greatly. The Bodhisattva said: The difficult to subdue arrogance, the subduer, the Bhagavan, the incomparable Arya Parjika, destroys the inner enemy, the army of afflictive demons, and subdues the heretical Sun of wrong views. After speaking, the Sun said: Knower of the world, Arya Parjika, I deeply regret giving rise to a competitive mind, I entrust all my retinue to you, compassionate one, please save me. The Bodhisattva said: A heretic will obstruct the Dharma, like a black cloud in the sky. Likewise, I cannot let you go today, but if you enter the Dharma, I will let you go. Then the Sun said: Immaculate, detached Arya Parjika, as you say, Bhikshu, King of Dharma, I am like an ant at the foot of Mount Sumeru, please pacify the unbearable suffering of oppression. After speaking, the Bodhisattva said: Listen, heretical teacher Sun, will you shave your hair from me, Sun? Will your retinue enter the Dharma, Sun? Will you abandon the Vedic evil Dharma, Sun? After speaking, the Sun said: Protector of the Buddha's teachings, Bhikshu Parjika, I will shave my hair from you, Parjika, my retinue will enter the Dharma, Parjika, I will abandon the false Vedic Dharma, Parjika. After speaking, that heretic and his retinue were all placed in liberation. Akashagarbha, like this, the Bodhisattva Licchavi also previously carried the heavy burden of my Buddha's teachings. In the future age, he will also sound this sutra, raise the flag, and beat the drum.
