The History of the Great Sage's Entrustment The History of the Great Sage's Entrustment ༄༅། O! May all sentient beings, as vast as the sky, attain the state of Buddhahood. For that purpose, generate the mind to properly receive the entrustment of the Great Sage. Please keep in mind the order of motivation and conduct for listening to the Dharma, as the holy and wise beings have said. Now, I will briefly explain the history of this Dharma and the individual. The source of this Dharma and the order of how it was extracted from the treasure is as follows: Here, the Bhagavan, the Lord of Secrets, Vajrapani himself, in order to subdue the wicked and protect the precious teachings, manifested as the lord of all arrogant ones, known as the Great Planet Demon Rahula. Among all the protectors of the Buddha's teachings, this deity is particularly powerful and possesses swift and fierce activities. This deity is generally taught in many tantras of the Vajrayana, and especially in the tantras such as the Stacked Crow Head Tantra, and the Kīkaṅ Rodī Tantra. That is, when the great teacher Padmasambhava himself was dwelling in a dense charnel ground, he saw fire and black wind swirling from a cave in that place that resembled a black snake with its mouth open. When he dug it up, the methods of practice for this deity emerged from within a conch shell amulet sealed with a snake seal. At that time, a person with hands red with blood, riding a wolf, actually appeared and said: I was bound by the great teacher Shri Singha after he stole my life essence. The great teacher himself accepted the command and vowed to protect the Buddha's teachings in the degenerate age. As he promised and vowed, the great teacher appointed him as the guardian of the secret mantra teachings and entrusted him, for the benefit of future generations, to condense the essential instructions of approach, accomplishment, and activity into a sharp, swift, profound, and concise essence. I, Padmasambhava, at the end of the five hundred degenerate age, the teachings of the Great Sage Planet will arise. At that time, whoever diligently makes offerings and practices will be protected and helped like a father and son, inseparable like body and shadow, and will act like a servant in whatever task is entrusted.

听！因此这殊胜灌顶，已交付于心之子。如是所说，于末世三十口之乱时，空行母措嘉（མཚོ་རྒྱལ）和阿阇黎萨雷俄（ཨ་ཙར་ས་ལེ་འོད་）等之祈愿汇聚之化身，调伏有情三昧耶谢林巴（འགྲོ་འདུལ་བསམ་གཏན་ཡེ་ཤེས་གླིང་པ་），与持教之士法之主等，缘起时机成熟之际，为消除内外密之障碍，以及为赐予护持教法之自在主贤者遍入墨黑光芒（དྲང་སྲོང་ཁྱབ་འཇུག་སྨུག་ནག་འོད་འཕྲོ）之甚深教诲，上师所应行之事，已如诸位上师之仪轨，无有增减地事先完成。现在，作为你们这些弟子之福分，为求于上师与大贤者无别之尊前，成熟灌顶之次第，供养以兵器等，寂增怀诛之事业为目标之物曼扎。 大贤者之教诲历史。
