A Prayer for Beginning Students. A Prayer for Beginning Students. ༄༅། I pray to the all-knowing Lord of the Teachings. I pray to the wise and intelligent Chokse. I pray to Manjushri, the Lion of Speech. I pray to Saraswati, the Goddess of Eloquence. May I myself be skilled in speaking, have a nimble tongue, and speak well. May my intelligence and wisdom increase rapidly, may I retain what I hear, obtain the Dharani of Non-forgetting, and may I enter the practice of Dharma without hindrance.
