Below, multiply by 2 with the eyes, add 41 to the month sea. Give the result of 65 arrow-ropes to the months. Multiply that number 30 by space-fire, and add the dates. In the middle of the three digits, add 43 fire-water, and below add 343 fire-sea-fire. Obtain 707 mountain-space-lines and give it to the middle. Divide by 64 water-ropes, if the remainder is 0 dots, that day is missing and called a small month. If obtained, add above, the remainder is common dhruva. This is the thread strung with easily accessible diagrams. With hundreds of pure white rays arising from diligence here, uprooting the ignorance of all who enter here, with the white light of true wisdom's appearance, may it dispel the darkness of mind for beings in the three realms. Thus, this treatise called "A Clear Explanation of the Essential Practical Applications of the Kalachakra Calculation," was also begun by Dari Dra Chöying Künsel Lodrö Gyatso at the age of twenty-nine, on the first joyful day of the white side of the Victorious Month in the year of transformation in the Rabjung cycle, and completed on the second excellent day of the red side. May this virtue greatly benefit some new students of the same kind, and may all intelligent beings who enter this path be embraced by the Dharma King of noble lineage.
