If you wish to show this liberating instruction according to their understanding, or if you wish to guide them to fully practice the generation and completion stages, then gradually purify the mind with the common and uncommon preliminaries. Bestow the vase empowerment and show the generation stage; bestow the secret empowerment and show tummo; bestow the wisdom empowerment and show the means path; bestow the word empowerment and show trekchö. Then, for the uniquely fortunate ones, bestow the empowerment of the power of awareness, and transmit the paths of clear light tögal with a very secret seal of instruction. If one relies only on understanding and knowledge, and is merely delighted, but has not attained the ground of increasing experiences, etc., then the aforementioned results will not occur. Therefore, one should quickly abandon laziness, procrastination, complacency, and distraction, and it is crucial to remain diligently with a single-pointed mind, relying on mindfulness and awareness. In this way, if one becomes accustomed to practice and it becomes a habit, then one should accomplish the vast activities of benefiting others with joy and without weariness. And, for all beings to be tamed, whether superior, middling, or inferior, propagate and practice them. Please do not miss the opportunity to accomplish vast activities. This is entrusting the profound instructions to the Dharma Protectors and sealing them. As it says: After practicing this oneself, entrust it to the Dakini and bury it as a treasure.
