The Yoga of the Fruit. The Yoga of the Fruit. Fourth, regarding the Yoga of the Fruit, having gained a firm ground and not reverting is the nature of the Fruit, and the ground itself is matured by the path, hence it is called the Fruit. If divided, there are two types. The temporary fruit refers to all those that ripen together during the path. The ultimate fruit is when all the actions, habitual patterns, and afflictive obscurations of the three doors become self-arising and self-liberating like a snake's knot. This is called the Fruit of Pure Spontaneous Presence. The way to practice it is to place awareness on whatever appears and arises. When familiarity becomes vastness, the way appearances manifest as emptiness and luminosity becomes a state free from acceptance, rejection, hope, and doubt, and quickly attains stability. Furthermore, the tantra states: "The fruit is said to be a firm ground, like a king who has ascended the throne, unchangeable and irreversible." It also says, "Maturation is called the fruit." And, "If the fruit is divided, it is grouped into two: temporary and ultimate." And, "The way the fruit ripens is shown: it is indestructible and irreversible by conditions." The Vajrasattva Heart Mirror states, "Know that all the dharmas of the fruit do not revert from the three kayas." And so on. The Yoga of the Fruit.
