Introducing Self-Liberation in Non-Duality. Introducing Self-Liberation in Non-Duality. Fifth, introducing self-liberation in non-duality is: Thus, realizing the inseparability of appearance and emptiness is also the nature of self-awareness, the natural state without fabrication, self-existing without cultivation, free from all elaborations, clear yet without clinging, the arising of various appearances unceasing, luminosity and emptiness uncompounded and spontaneously accomplished, the wisdom of the co-emergent three bodies, from the beginning pure realm, all conceptual thoughts transform into self-liberation in non-duality like a snake's knot. By introducing it in this way, the clinging and conceptualization of appearance and emptiness also transform into self-liberation within the great original liberation of awareness. As it is said in the *Exceeding Measure Sutra*: "The awareness that arises, Like a snake's knot, is self-liberated. Since there is no essence, cease striving. By its very nature, it is primordially liberated." And as it is said in the *Subtle Adornment Sutra*: "Unceasing power manifests in any way. From the very arising, it is liberated in its own place. Liberated cannot be merely spoken of. Likewise, what is not liberated?" And: "Complete enlightenment is self-awareness itself. Its essence does not change in the three times. Its nature is always unceasing. Compassion is the self-appearance for all." Thus it is said. In short, although the mind is delusion and conceptualization, if one knows the nature of delusion, it is awareness. Since the nature of delusion and conceptualization is not established as delusion, it is emptiness, and since the essence of awareness is not annihilation, it is luminosity. And from the radiance of self-awareness, anything arises without ceasing, and after realizing that the play of self-appearance is inseparable from appearance and emptiness, the nature of whatever arises of awareness transcends bondage and liberation. Self-liberation in the realm of primordial purity, free from elaboration, the ultimate state beyond what is to be meditated upon and the meditator, is recognized from the perspective of view.
