礼赞。 礼赞。 诸佛正法僧伽三宝尊， 以意语身之自性任运成， 堪为众生之怙佑善知识， 无等大恩于彼敬顶礼。 此从彼之语所闻次第道， 从何而来之三种传承， 造论教法之主阿底峡， 师徒父子等众敬礼已， 三士夫所欲求之果， 增上生解脱与大菩提， 开显道之取舍明灯王， 释论以酥之精华为明释。 复次，此论之作者觉窝杰（阿底峡尊者）之意，由策（Zen）以实修而领受，格西仲敦巴之说规，从大格西布朵瓦所传，彼之殊胜弟子善知识霞惹瓦大瑜丹扎（云丹扎）。名之异名，格西霞惹瓦或亦称香容瓦之语录释文中，略摄如是所出之词义而讲述。佛所教示之诸法如何归摄于三士道中。彼即是所说之论著《菩提道灯论》，从觉窝如何造论之方式开始，圣教之来源。正法之根本，如何依止善知识之方式。所说之论典正文解说，共四部分。 礼赞。

Homage. Homage. The Three Jewels, Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, Spontaneously accomplished as the essence of mind, speech, and body, Worthy of refuge for sentient beings, the virtuous friend, To that one with incomparable kindness, I respectfully bow. This graduated path heard from his speech, And the three lineages from which it arose, Having paid homage to Atisha, the lord of the teachings who composed the treatise, Together with his spiritual sons and disciples, That which is sought after by the three types of individuals, The excellent lamp that illuminates what to adopt and abandon on the path to higher realms, liberation, and great enlightenment, Is made clear by the essence of clarified butter in the commentary. Furthermore, the intention of Jowo Je, the author of this treatise, was received into practice by Tsen. The explanatory tradition of Geshe Dromtönpa, transmitted from the great Geshe Putowa, and his foremost disciple, the virtuous friend Sharawa Yönten Drak. Among the various names, the explanations of the sayings of Geshe Sharawa, also known as Zhang Rompowa, are explained by summarizing a small portion of the words and meanings as they appear. How all the teachings taught by the Buddha are included in the path of the three types of individuals. This very treatise, the Lamp for the Path to Enlightenment, begins with how Jowo composed the treatise, the origin of the holy Dharma. The root of the Dharma, how to rely on a virtuous friend. The actual explanation of the treatise to be explained, in four parts. Homage.
