Here at the very end of the degenerate fivefold age of strife, When the glory of the white-sided gods is diminished, Facing the ridge of the great Mount Meru, When the black-sided obstructing spirits, karmic creditors, and elemental forces, And the hosts of gyal 'gong, dead spirits, and ghosts are rampant, We, the vidyādharas and yogis who practice, Have no other refuge or hope than you, the lord of the protectors of the Buddha's teachings. In the past, in the blazing turquoise-faced chamber of Barkhang, When the vidyādhara master Padmasambhava Opened the mandala of the assembled Sugatas, With the great mandala of worldly offerings and praises, Placed in order, each offered their life-essence, Empowered, vowed, and given secret names. As you have promised, do not stray from your vows, Remembering the powerful oaths of the past, If I rely on you, worship you, and practice you, Then day and night, six times, without ever forgetting, Accompany me like body and shadow. Even if we embark on the path of righteousness, The hosts of gyal 'gong, dam sri, and elemental forces, Those who have confused the minds of beings, Those who harbor evil thoughts and act harshly, Those who sow discord and division, Those who incite the destruction of the Dharma and sectarian conflict, Those who perform black magic and curses, Enemies who sharpen their weapons, enemies who harbor malice in their hearts, Enemies who confront us directly, You, the lord of the lives of beings, Without delaying years, months, days, or even a moment, Accept this blood-red torma of flesh and blood, Now is the time to subdue them. In this threefold world, with great power and strength, And all the enjoyments of gods, nāgas, and humans, Just like the enjoyments of the great god Maheśvara, In short, all the moving and unmoving things of the three realms, May you effortlessly bring them under your control.
