Short preface to the publication. Short preface to the publication. The accomplished master of power, Dzogchenpa Pema Rigzin, was a well-known incarnation in the eleventh century who was given the name of the profound Dzogchen teachings of the Early Translation Nyingma school. Throughout his life, this lord, in the manner of a renunciate and hidden yogi, emphasized the practice of luminosity Dzogchen, reaching the point where his awareness was perfected, and thus he became known as the accomplished Pema Rigzin. After consulting with the Great Fifth Dalai Lama, he established Dzogchen Monastery in the Kham region, which highlights the historical background of the special revival of the Early Translation Nyingma lineage, which had declined in U-Tsang, at this time. He personally visited many Nyingma monasteries in the Kham region, mainly in the Dege (present-day Dege County, Sichuan) area, such as Kathok and Pelri, and corrected the view and practice of Dzogchen. As he wished, hundreds of Dharma lineage monasteries flourished in Amdo and Kham. In this later age, he is widely known as the source or the supreme inaugurator of the chariot for the widespread flourishing of the Dzogchen teachings in the land of snow mountains. The successive incarnations of this lord have all been masters of the nine qualities of the three studies of hearing, thinking, and meditation; the three virtues of being learned, disciplined, and excellent; and the three activities of teaching, debating, and writing, thus becoming like the crest jewel of the Early Translation Nyingma teachings. The Ganden Phodrang government repeatedly bestowed the title of "Mahapandita Erdene Hutuktu." Disciples such as the three suns, moons, and stars, and the four fearless ones, and many other learned, virtuous, and accomplished heart-sons of successive incarnations, caused the Dharma lineage and activities to flourish in all directions. The oral teachings and treatises of the successive incarnations of the accomplished one are mostly found in Dharma histories and biographies, but in the past they were not made into woodblock prints due to strict secrecy, and due to fire and earthquake damage to the labrang at various times, they were scattered at that time, so very few can be seen today. In the past, there was a plan to collect and compile the scattered works of the accomplished one Pema Rigzin.

This time, not only has the wish to rebuild the great palace, the center of the religious and political activities of the successive Kubum masters, which subdues the three realms, been fulfilled, but also the excellent images of the successive Kubum masters, the supreme supports of body, speech, and mind, and the extraordinary golden stupas blazing with the light of blessings, have been invited to reside.
