I prostrate to the supreme Lama. This yogi who dwells here, his birthplace was in the direction of the mountains, his growing place was in the direction of Chamdo. From about ten years old, he learned to read and write. From a young age, he took the vows of a renunciate. He relied on a qualified and holy Lama, who cared for him like a son with loving kindness. He received empowerments, transmissions, and instructions. I owe it to him that my human life has meaning. Having prayed to him, for several years I upheld the tradition of the Kagyu lineage. I diligently practiced self-accomplishment. At that time, through the blessings of the Lama, I developed a slight experience and certainty. The external appearances of red and white objects, I knew to be the spontaneously arisen mandala. The essence of various different sentient beings, I knew to be pure deities. I meditated on the mandala of existence established as the basis. I wonder if I am a Maha yogi. The aggregates, elements, sense bases, and so on, I knew to be the nature of the spontaneously accomplished yidam mandala from the beginning. I meditated on the mandala of the inner clear empty body. I wonder if I am an Anu yogi. The supreme secret, the nature of mind, the quality of awareness, I knew to be primordially pure and beyond expression. I meditated on the original state free from mental fabrication. I wonder if I am an Ati yogi. Outwardly, I hold the banner of the saffron robes of individual liberation. I suppressed the head of the three poisons and afflictions. I abandoned the thought of harming others. I wonder if I am a Shākya mendicant. Inwardly, I hold the benefits of the bodhisattva's training. I followed the great sons of the Buddhas. I accomplished whatever benefits all beings. I abandoned the thought of wanting self-gratification. I wonder if I am a loving bodhisattva. The essential point is to hold the samaya of the secret vidyadhara. I suppressed the head of all clinging to \"a\" (藏文,梵文天城体,a,无) and delusion. I abide in the state of the three mandalas. I wonder if I am a samaya-holding vidyadhara. The habitual patterns and self-forms of real delusion, I liberated into the space of aimlessness and freedom from elaboration. I defeated the enemy of self-grasping. I wonder if I am a great secret mantra practitioner. The essential point is that having taken hold of the meaning of the ground of the मूल (藏文,梵文天城体,mūla,root) mudra, the essential points and times of the four experiences, I placed them by uniting them as co-emergent bliss and emptiness. I became free from the stain of attachment and aversion." } ] ============================================================

I wonder if I am a yogi free from attachment. I hold the yoga that is secluded from the three key points. I have overcome the distraction of delusion and thought. I leave the mind in its natural state, without attachment. I wonder if I am a great meditator without elaboration. In this life, I have not pursued worldly happiness much. I have even abandoned the thought of wanting good. I have destroyed pretentious behavior. I wonder if I am a crazy person without guidance. This was composed by the Dzogchen yogi Pema Rigdzin in response to people asking about history at the secluded place Namkhadzö. The autobiography, Questions and Answers, "The Honest Sage," is complete.
