The field of Sukhavati, made from the accumulation of Buddha's merit, With boundless light shining forth. To the protector residing there, Amitabha, I prostrate at your feet, whose life is immeasurable. May I be born in the realm of Sukhavati! When you were before the King Lokeshvararaja, And were known as the monk Dharmakara, You made vows to take hold of a pure land, I pray you, my guru, quickly grant your permission. May I be born in the realm of Sukhavati! The palms of the hands, tender and fresh, And the opponent worthy of being an equal example, The expanse of the water fields, whose boundaries are invisible, Is adorned with various precious jewels. May I be born in the realm of Sukhavati! Mount Meru, the ocean, surrounded by black mountains, A delightful place of tranquility, free from mundane distractions, The trees made of the seven precious jewels, Reach to a height of one thousand six hundred yojanas. Where the names of gods, humans, hell-beings, and asuras are not heard, Prosperous and flourishing, With the happiness of a bountiful and abundant year, Attached to the glory that is without satiety. May I be born in the realm of Sukhavati, which possesses the three bodies of speech, the four immeasurables, the ground, the perfections, the ten powers, the four fearlessnesses, and the eighteen unshared qualities, complete with perfect meaning. From the beautiful gardens and trees, hundreds of desirable qualities arise. In the sky, emanations of immeasurable palaces and so forth appear, unmatched even by the powers of others' emanations. May I be born in the realm of Sukhavati. There, there are no planets, stars, days, nights, divisions, houses, or minds that grasp onto them. Yet, goddesses create delightful clouds of offerings, bringing great joy. May I be born in the realm of Sukhavati. Where the victorious ones dwell and teach, praising them with as many Buddhas as there are grains of sand in the Ganges, who do not abandon their efforts, and where one attends to Avalokiteshvara and Mahasthamaprapta. May I be born in the realm of Sukhavati. In this realm, the roots of virtue are ripened, and even those with obscurations are born in lotus wombs, sitting in the lotus posture, possessing the two marks, and fully endowed with the signs of a great being. May I be born in the realm of Sukhavati. Shravakas, pratyekabuddhas, bodhisattvas, and beings in the form of gods and humans, all attain sharp faculties and patience. They travel in the sky without falling, see the Buddha, and hear the sacred Dharma without separation. May I be born in the realm of Sukhavati. In meditation and clairvoyance, one can discern with the wisdom of the wise. There is no bondage or possession, the senses are unwavering, and all-knowing qualities are limitless and boundless. May I be born in the realm of Sukhavati. By the path of truth that abandons the causes and effects of arising, even the arhats who have realized cessation find liberation in the realm of the three liberations, and engage in the empowerment of great light. May I be born in the realm of Sukhavati. The categories of Dharma taught in each moment are countless, and with great miraculous power, one wanders through other realms, obtaining from the Dharma the opening of the doors to hundreds of thousands of kotis of samadhis. May I be born in the realm of Sukhavati. In short, merely the name, sound, and contemplation of that realm, when familiarized in the mind, lead to rebirth in the realm of Sukhavati, because your aspiration and vows are unfailing. Your deeds for the benefit of others are like the tireless ocean waves.

Confessing and repenting the sins and obscurations we have done and accumulated, At the same time, we rejoice and offer to the ocean-like deeds, Constantly request to remain in the world together with the Dharma wheel. Whatever merit there is, for all beings, May it be dedicated as the cause for being born in Sukhavati, May the auspiciousness of fulfilling wishes as desired be!
