Oṃ: I prostrate to glorious Samantabhadra! The primordial state, naturally free from elaboration, is not existent; the Buddhas have not seen it. It is not non-existent; it is the ground of all saṃsāra and nirvāṇa. It is not contradictory; it transcends the realm of expression. May I realize the nature of the ground of Dzogchen! Its essence is emptiness, liberating from the extreme of permanence. Its nature is clarity, free from the extreme of annihilation. Its compassion is unceasing, the basis for various emanations. Though divided into three, in meaning, they are not different. May I realize the nature of the ground of Dzogchen! Inconceivable, free from all imputations, pacifying all clinging to existence and non-existence. To express this meaning, even the tongues of the Buddhas are exhausted. Without beginning, end, or middle, a vast expanse of clear depth. May I realize the nature of the ground of Dzogchen! In its own nature, utterly pure, unborn, primordially pure, spontaneously accomplished, the radiance of uncreatedness dawns. Not grasping as separate, the great union of awareness and emptiness, with realization, the intention of the ground is measured. May I be without error in the key points of the path! Primordially pure, there is not even a name for view. In its own nature, awareness gains meaning from the power of meditation. Without fixation, it is free from the bonds of conduct. Naturally infused, the state of nakedness, free from elaboration. May I be without error in the key points of the path! Without falling to the side of good or bad thoughts, without scattering into indifference or non-committal states. Spontaneously liberated, without bias, a vast, spontaneously present expanse, abandoning acceptance and rejection, the state of complete knowledge of one's own nature. May I be without error in the key points of the path! The initial general ground, in a state like the sky, the ground appearance, awareness, like clouds dissolving in the sky. From the outward manifestation of awareness turning inward, the womb of the youthful vase body, possessing six special qualities. May I seize the stronghold of the king of fruition! Primordially self-aware, Samantabhadra, all desires for attainment vanish into the expanse. Without effort, beyond mind, the nature of the Great Perfection, the expanse of awareness, the space of the womb of Samantabhadrī. May I seize the stronghold of the king of fruition! The meaning of the Great Madhyamaka, which does not abide, pervading and vast, the state of the Great Seal. Liberating from extremes, a vast expanse, the key point of the Great Perfection, the qualities of the grounds and paths, the spontaneously accomplished womb, complete in the ground. May I seize the stronghold of the king of fruition!
