The Seven-Branch Offering. The Seven-Branch Offering. The Seven-Branch Offering is: I prostrate to the noble Mañjuśrīkumārabhūta! To all the lions among men, the Sugatas of the three times, in all the realms of the ten directions, without exception, I bow down with body, speech, and mind. Through the power of the aspiration of excellent conduct, I mentally visualize all the Buddhas directly. With bodies as numerous as atoms in the fields, I bow down to all the Buddhas. Upon each atom are Buddhas as numerous as atoms, dwelling amidst their sons. Likewise, I imagine that the entire sphere of phenomena is completely filled with Buddhas. I praise them with endless oceans of praise, with oceans of sounds from branches of melody. Extolling the qualities of all the Buddhas, I praise all the Sugatas. With supreme flowers and supreme garlands, with cymbals and ointments, supreme umbrellas, supreme lamps, and supreme incense, I make offerings to those Buddhas. With supreme garments and supreme scents, with powders and heaps as great as Mount Meru, and with all supreme arrangements of extraordinary excellence, I make offerings to those Buddhas. I imagine offering all those supreme and vast offerings to all the Buddhas. Through the power of faith in excellent conduct, I prostrate and make offerings to all the Buddhas. Under the influence of desire, hatred, and ignorance, whatever sins I have committed with body, speech, and mind, I confess each and every one of them. I rejoice in all the merit of all the Buddhas and their sons in the ten directions, of the Pratyekabuddhas, of those in training and beyond training, and of all beings. I beseech all those protectors, the lamps of the world in the ten directions, who have attained unattached enlightenment in stages, to turn the unsurpassed wheel of Dharma. To those who wish to show passing into nirvana, I pray with folded hands to remain for as many kalpas as there are atoms in the fields, for the benefit and happiness of all beings.
