Explanation of Gradual Realization The gradual realization through understanding the absence of inherent existence in all phenomena is: In this way, through the mode of the absence of inherent existence, the six perfections, all emptinesses, the aspects of enlightenment, the four noble truths, meditative absorption, immeasurables, formless absorptions, liberation, the gradual abiding absorption, the door of liberation, supernormal knowledges, meditative stabilization, the door of dharani, powers, fearlessness, and so forth, when training in great compassion, it is shown that one knows the gradual practice through the absence of inherent existence, and so forth. If all phenomena are of the nature of non-existence, then since everything is non-existent, it would be wrong to assert that it is entirely cut off; whether all phenomena exist in the nature of non-existence, or whether non-existence is not observed, the answer to that is given; even though one does not have the ability oneself, the venerable Subhuti asked in consideration of future beings; if the nature of non-existence is such, then for the sake of the benefit of sentient beings, is there no entry into the unexcelled perfect and complete enlightenment? Is attainment and manifestation prohibited for those with conceptual consciousness? And the realm of phenomena is not confused by the very non-objectification, and that is precisely attainment and manifestation; if that is the case, then there is no need to establish the ten grounds and so on; for that very reason, the desire for manifestation is truly accomplished; giving and so on to the non-objective is prohibited from being done differently; it is taught that by knowing the distinction of meditating on that non-objectification, one will become fully enlightened to unexcelled perfect and complete enlightenment, and that is why. Having done that in that way, the gradual, the three kinds and the ten kinds of teachings, should be understood to be reasonable and complete. The Ornament for Clear Realization is from the teaching treatise on the key instructions of the Perfection of Wisdom. The explanation of the gradual clear realization is complete. Sixth, the chapter on gradual clear realization.
