One should not abide in what is called "action and person." From what is called "bodily pleasure" up to "without aspiration," one should not abide, as has been said, and so forth. It is also said, "Having initiated the ten grounds, by extensively teaching non-abiding, it is said to become the supreme Dharma." This means that the great Bodhisattva should not abide in the manner of focusing on the first ground, up to "In that Buddha-field of mine, even the sound of the Buddha will not arise," one should not abide in the manner of focusing, as has been said in between. One should not abide, why? The Buddha said, "Having known, because he did not see the dharmas." This means that the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened One, having manifestly awakened to unsurpassed, perfect enlightenment, because he did not focus on all dharmas, as has been said, and so forth.
