The Ritual of Water Offering The Ritual of Water Offering In Sanskrit: Jala Valim Bidhi Nama. In Tibetan: The Ritual of Water Offering. Homage to the Three Jewels! For any faithful being, the most beneficial and easy act is water offering, therefore one should strive to perform it. Pour water into a beautiful jeweled vessel, and add whatever is available such as flour and flowers, as well as five kinds of precious jewels such as gold, various unmentioned foods, and it is even better to add medicine, grains, and incense. Generally, performing the ritual of Torma requires six constants, namely purification and so on. Among them, purification is done through the mantra and mudra of the complete purity of Dharma-nature. Increase is done through the mantra and mudra of the Treasury of Space. Transformation into joy is done through the mantra and mudra of the Nectar Fire Offering. Control over actions is done through the mantra and mudra of the Great Powerful Light. Attainment is done through the mantra and mudra of the Wisdom Meteor. Control is done through the mantra and mudra of the common guardian deity, namely the mantra and mudra of the Wheel of Control. Among them, the lineage of thought is first to protect oneself, generate the remembrance of the deity's great mudra, generate the supreme Bodhicitta with the Four Immeasurables, take refuge in the Three Jewels, and remember the benefit of beings with great compassion. Dedication should also be dedicated to the supreme great Bodhi. Among them, the objects of dedication are the guests of service, namely Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, etc.; the guests of merit, namely Brahma, Indra, the Four Great Kings, the ten directions protectors, and the oath-bound protectors; the guests of compassion, namely the sentient beings of the six realms; especially one's own guardian deity, as well as the earth deities and nagas of the place where one resides; the guests of karmic debt, namely the obstacles and demons of countless lifetimes; and all the deities who bring benefit and harm, should all be equally dedicated to. First, join the palms of the hands with the palms empty, and say: Om Svabhava Vishuddha Sarva Dharma Svabhava Vishuddho Ham. (Tibetan: ཨོཾ་སྭ་བྷཱ་བ་བི་ཤུདྡྷཿ་སརྦ་དྷརྨྨཱཿསྭ་བྷཱ་བ་བི་ཤུདྡྷོ་ཉ་ཧཾ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ स्वभाव विशुद्धः सर्वधर्माः स्वभाव विशुद्धो ऽहम्, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ svabhāva viśuddhaḥ sarvadharmāḥ svabhāva viśuddho 'ham, Literal Chinese meaning: Om, self-nature pure, all dharmas, self-nature pure, I.) Join the palms of the hands with the palms empty, with the fingertips touching.
