The Method of Accomplishment of the Mātar of Knowledge Arising from Oḍiyāna. The Method of Accomplishment of the Mātar of Knowledge Arising from Oḍiyāna. In Sanskrit: Oḍiyāna vini rāga ta kurukulle sādhanaṃ. In Tibetan: The Method of Accomplishment of the Mātar of Knowledge Arising from Oḍiyāna. Homage to the Noble Mātar of Knowledge! First, for a while, at the beginning of meditation, anoint one side of the ground with five kinds of fragrant scents. The one endowed with asceticism, with a joyful mind, having settled in equanimity, dwells near a soft seat. Then, later, in one's own heart, from the complete transformation of raṃ (རཾ, raṃ, fire), a radiant solar mandala arises, the appearance of a garland of light blazing. In its center, contemplate a red hrīḥ (ཧྲཱིཿ, hrīḥ, great essence). Then, from the network of rays of light that necessarily arises from hrīḥ (ཧྲཱིཿ, hrīḥ, great essence), illuminate the realms of sentient beings dwelling nearby in the ten directions. Transform them into the form of the glorious Mātar of Knowledge. Again, that very ray of light returns and enters into itself, contemplate the network of rays of light. Then, later, in the sky in front, contemplate the form of a sixteen-year-old maiden, with reddish-brown hair standing upright. Holding five skull-cups on her head, riding on a corpse, adorned with a garland of heads as a necklace, abiding in a half-lotus posture, with a slightly bared tusk. Tongue rolled up. Adorned with wheels, earrings, necklaces, armlets, belts, and anklets. Wearing a tiger skin loincloth. The three eyes on the left are round, red, and moving. With a crown of Amitābha. Four-armed. Filling the space between the ears, red utpala flowers. Holding an arrow with a dart and a fully drawn bow of red flowers. In the remaining two hands, contemplate the form of holding an iron hook made of red flowers and a red utpala flower. For the purpose of offering to this very one, on the solar mandala in one's own heart, offer the five kinds of offerings arising from hrīḥ (ཧྲཱིཿ, hrīḥ, great essence): flowers, incense, lamps, perfumes, food offerings, and so on. Having made offerings, the supreme yogi of great compassion, with reverence, bows down and prostrates with body and so on. Then, whatever one has caused others to commit sins, what one has done oneself, and what one has rejoiced in, may these be destroye
