May satisfaction arise, fulfilling all that is sought. One hundred and sixteen verses, this is the measure of the summary with feet. For the adornment of the wise, the reality of this object is in the heart, according to its measure. Thus, the great commentary on the glorious Buddha Skull Tantra, the commentary on the fearless treatise, composed by the abbot scholar Abhayakaragupta, is complete. This was previously translated by a wise translator, but was incomplete due to the loss of the text in the middle. Thereafter, the Pang translator, the monk Lodrö Tenpa, was urged by the words of the abbot of Lhasa, Jamyang... of Glorious Serpo. In the first chapter, from "the great mudra vajra of the Bhagavan" to "arising from the lower path," and "only the meditation on the body of the deity was taught," from "what was taught" to "the stable ones, the ground and so on, and the moving," and from the end of the third chapter, "the meditation on the form of Heruka is complete," to the end of the fourth chapter, "here ignorance is that," and from the beginning of the thirteenth chapter, "suchness is all," to the end of the fourteenth chapter, "whatever arises," and the two verses beginning with "Victorious over the three realms," were all deleted by the Mongols, and the rest were translated and determined after being proofread. Chapter Fourteen, Commentary on the Explanation of the Beginning of All Tantras.
