Homage to Glorious Hevajra. First, the yogi, in a solitary and pleasing place, sprinkles sandalwood and the like in all directions, and sits on a comfortable seat. Then, one contemplates an eight-petaled lotus in one's heart. In its center, a solar disc. In its center, one contemplates a Hūṃ (हूँ, hūṃ). From this, light radiates, and one contemplates the gurus, buddhas, bodhisattvas, and Herukas in the sky in front. Then, one makes offerings with outer and inner offerings. Then, one confesses sins, takes refuge in the Three Jewels, rejoices in merit, dedicates the roots of virtue, generates the mind of enlightenment, gives away the body, and relies on the path. Then, one meditates on loving-kindness, compassion, joy, and equanimity. Then, the yogi contemplates that all dharmas are empty. Oṃ śūnyatājñānavajrasvabhāva ātmako'haṃ (ཨོཾ་ཤཱུ་ནྱ་ཏཱ་ཛྙཱ་ན་བཛྲ་སྭ་བྷཱ་བ་ཨཱཏྨ་ཀོ྅ཧཾ, ॐ शून्यताज्ञानवज्रस्वभाव आत्माकोऽहम्, oṃ śūnyatājñānavajrasvabhāva ātmako'haṃ, Om, the essence of emptiness-wisdom-vajra is who I am). Then, in front, from Raṃ (रं, raṃ) comes a solar disc. On top of that, from Hūṃ (हूँ, hūṃ) comes a multicolored vajra. On the vajra's vase, one contemplates a solar disc. On top of that, from the light of that Hūṃ (हूँ, hūṃ), emanates Yamāntaka and the like, and one contemplates that all obstacles are dispelled. One contemplates that it dissolves back into the Hūṃ (हूँ, hūṃ). That itself, the seed being perfectly complete, becomes the vajra ground, the vajra fence, and the vajra tent. Oṃ rakṣa rakṣa hūṃ hūṃ hūṃ (ཨོཾ་རཀྵ་རཀྵ་ཧཱུྃ་ཧཱུྃ་ཧཱུ༵, oṃ rakṣa rakṣa hūṃ hūṃ hūṃ, Om, protect protect Hum Hum Hum). Then, one contemplates the vajra tent. Similarly, from Paṃ (पं, paṃ) one contemplates a red eight-petaled lotus. On top of that, Ro (रो, ro). In the heart of Ro (रो, ro), one contemplates that Āli and Kāli are completely transformed. The lunar and solar discs. In its center, the seed syllable Hūṃ (हूँ, hūṃ). From that Hūṃ (हूँ, hūṃ) comes a vajra. One contemplates that in the center of the vajra's navel resides Hūṃ (हूँ, hūṃ). Then, from the forms of the eight goddesses, light radiates, and having accomplished the benefit of all sentient beings, one contemplates that they dissolve back into that itself. The seed and hand gestures being perfectly complete, one should contemplate oneself as the Bhagavan, Glorious Heruka. One face, two arms, possessing the light of black clouds, fierce and wrathful.
